looks like a good start. KA T eh? thats pretty cool i guess. Just take your time and plan everything else out first. Don't hastily buy parts until you have an idea of what you need.

you mentioned track only? do you have something to tow it to the track? if not make sure what you do is going to be comfortable for driving on the highway.

keep it updated man

good start and nice plans. i would definitely look into coilovers or some aspect of suspension before you attempt to bring it to the track though. keep up the work

Since your going turbo, you're only option that I know of in auto-x is Street Modified (SM). That's a tough class to start in, but still gives you seat time. Make sure you read the rules for your class too. Even SM specifies having a complete interior.

Just food for thought.

Well, the cars interior was mostly stripped in the rear, so there was nothing I could do there.

Why did you decide to use a T25 turbo with 550cc injectors?Why not a T28 or T3?

It says Rear passenger seat(s) do(es) not need to be retained. So I can take the seat out just nothing else? Can someone clarify this please.

Pictures! :D

Well for updates, I tore all the interior out.

Sense the passenger side q window has been broken out for so long the rug smelled like mold so I tossed it in my shed its not going back in, its nasty looking too. So too bad.

I also don't like the look of all the interior WITH out the hatch stuff so I got rid/will get rid of the rest soon enough.

So I have the way I want the interior to look.

I want it to look like that except LHD.. It would look hot.

But anyway, heres the rest of the pictures.

I now got a window, I accidently put it on like a centimeter to far to the left, but you can't tell unless your like an inch from the crease. :P

Not bad eh?

The KA24DE that will be pulled.

Only SEMI bad spot, its not a hole, just surface rust from the window.

I De-Rusted it with purple power, like everything else..

I taped the holes in the hatch, I don't have time to fix it plus I might just replace it. ugh

He hit something and bent it up, I'll figure out what is wrong next week, it started to rain again. -_-

So what damage do you think the front end has? My dad looked it over and doesn't think its too bad.

If its only going to be for the track, make sure you look up the rules for the class you want to be in and build it for that class. You dont want to get to the track and be one modification over or under the class you want to race in. My 2 cents

Yes, just the back seat. All other interior trim must be retained. I had to move my battery from where the back seat was to the trunk when I switched to DSP. The weight of the seat is minimum, but I preferred the battery more centered in the chassis and lower.

Well the track I will be going to doesn't use classes or anything by SCCA, its all on its own. So I called them and I'm fine without it.

Well if its a track car your going to want to compete, so maybe the track doesnt require it...but the competition might.

Let me know how you like the Spec Clutch, I was debating between that and the Exedy but I went with the Exedy.

I didn't take any pictures, but I tore all the sound deading out of the hatch area and into the back seats, most of its coming out really easily.

But other then that I've come to the conclusion that whatever he hit he hit the passenger side wheel, so the wheel is farther in then the other side.

Any ideas whats wrong with it? I haven't had time to check..

Stuff on my list tomorrow:

Take more sound deading out, i got all the hatch part out.

I need to put an injector in my car, the first cylinder wasn't firing, and its not the spark plug.. So were gonna test the injector sense I have four extra stock injectors, plus 4 550cc injectors.

Then also gonna eventually try again to pull the front end off if I have time. lol

Okay, well I got a FEW things done today..

My time is cut short all the time its so bad. ugh.

Well, I took my spare fuel rail out and put the injector in. And It was the injector, it started right up and wasn't missing at all.

Secondly, I took it out to do some burnouts, and I found out the pressure plate is shot, its not engaging at all really, untill like 3000rpms. But after that its fine. But Either way, I still burned some rubber and i was shocked I did. lol

I also made a tough decision tonight, but I think it was the right decision me and my dad came up with.

Were gonna boost the ka24 thats in the car now, and finish building the bottom end of my other really nice KA. So that way i can see if all my parts work and I'll get on the track much quicker. The engine runs good but i'm gonna have to clean it up a lot. Its dirty because of the valve cover gasket leak he has on it. But don't worry, my other ka-t won't be gone for long.

But other then that..I finally got some studs and bolts to hold my turbo parts together, even though i still need the gasket. :P

Here's some pictures of the turbo... I know, just a T25 but It'll be good for now.

Thats it for now.. I still need to pick up dry ice for my sound deading.

I'm also getting a Tenzo R racing seat. Its not the greatest seat on this planet, but I'm getting it, its local, and its cheap. 70 bucks. :D

with no interior your going to be bumped into a prepared class,

id start with seat time followed by seat time , seat time, suspention, seat time get better seat and stearing wheel , followed by you guessed it more seat time

My seat time will include Auto X at my local track, which if you didn't read my other posts doesn't go my scca rules or use classes, its a general race for everyone to be in. So I'll get my seat time that way.

And I got my seat, other stuff will come down the road.

Well, today was fun -_-;

Well, I got some more Sound deading out, I can't find dry ice anywhere.

so I took my driver side seat apart for my racing seat, and I'm going to have to make a bracket for it, not to much of a big deal.

Then, the valve cover gasket had a leak, so i took the cover off, and took down one of my 2 valve cover gaskets, and put it on. Well, over half the bolts are stripped..

And inside the valve cover it looks like something around the timing chain was hitting the cover. So I put the gasket on, put the cover back on and tried to start it...and it started to for a second then now its not cranking at all..so I think I'm screwed with this engine. So i'm gonna try to just buy forged pistons and rods for my other ka and do that right. -_-;

This car is annoying me the last week or so..

Well the exhaust cam broke, so there goes my hopes of running 248/248 cams..ugh

Oh well, Thursday more sound deading comes out and saterday i hope to pull the ka24de and finally mount my racing seat..plus maybe mask the interior off for paint..

Lets see what else..Not much else, i'm broke right now, so not much involving money is happening haha
