this is the result of 3rd gear drops on slicks and a whole day of racing,on 7 pounds managed to run 11.4 and got to quater finals so was pretty happy the way the motor handles the heat and boost.60ft times were slow at 1.9 but speed was 130mph over line so definitley got a ten in it.the axels both blew at the end of the day and more bad news,was cruising around on the street after i fixed the axels and the big ends went for a spin,result crank is savable but the rod is definitley toast,already got another motor coming and i think i will do the bearings this time, the vh that stuffed bearings did have signs of very high ks on it so really my own fault for being lazy and not checking bottom end before tuning and racing,will post up some videos of the car at the drags and the dyno tune in a couple of days,power was 360kw at wheels on 7psi at 5000rpm before the dyno shut down from excessive tourqe some where in the vicinty of 900nm,it sounds bloody awesome,will hook 4th gear no sweat for some big wrecker skids,running a straight 3.5 inc exhaust with a sprint car flowmaster at the back[IMG][/IMG]

Lol! Not it's not, it's a old R32 GTS-T, common as mud over here in Aus and NZ, you can get ones with a blown engine for ~$3k in average condition.

Love to see the turbo setup and any other detail, just mocking my VH up in the Z32 now, my giant turbo won't fit (think T88 size ) Looking at something a bit smaller and something that will fit would be nice

Standard R200 in it? Bit worried about mine now, and I just spent all that money on the Nismo LSD, ah well

hey guys yep ill post some picks up soon of the engine set up,the car runs a stock turbo rear end and welded up R200 diff,its been in about three other cars with the axels so dont worry the diff has taking a real hiding and i new something would go eventually i do a have a GTS4 rear end to go in when i stop being lazy-the axels look to be a little bigger very similar to GTR,oh yes i picked the car up fo 600NZD bucks-thats 300USD was sitting under a tree on some dudes section for a year,if i get my a into g ill either link a video tonight or this weekend so keep a look out,oh the turbo is a chinese TA45 copy which also cost 600NZD,it will prob only last about 6 months but a managed to get a rebuilt genuine garrett TA45 with a 1.4 exhaust housing,dunno how this will go but might stick it on sooner.

iirc the gts-4 rear is the same as the gtr which has the awesome 6 bolt spread axles that can handle 1khp or so without worries.just make sure to swap over hubs and such as the spline count IS different.

If you are making boatloads of power, you might want to invest in some chromeoly or other hardened axles. I know people with 240SXs (okay, Silvias to you mate )were doing this when they swapped in RBs or high power KA24DE+T/SR20DETs. Here's one company that makes them for S13/14, but I recon that you could get them cheaper where you are (shipping will be a ton less, and machinist labor is probably less too). maybe they could make them for your application if you give them the dimensions

hard launches on slicks do that to your rear-end and axles... and twists on the drive shaft. time for a set of stage-5 axles.

Stage 5 axles? Why not just go straight for stage 10? hahaha, you've been playing too much gran turismo my friend.

motor already to go before blow upbrake booster of a crappy 1988 nissan pulsar,very compact and bolted straight onto standard skyline pattern-majic!gave just enough clearance,dunno what clutch master cylinder is off but very small as well was just sitting at a parts shop and looked to be the one to fit.you can see my rough as guts steampipe log manifolds and the adaptor plate my brother made-che bro!the all important oil manifold off the block-once again che bro-he makes it all for free.who says you need a million dollar clutch?this is a semi solid center single plate clutch and 4000 pound pressure plate,cost about 750NZD,oh and my brother made me a steel flywheel as well,he was pissed with all the swarf burns ha ha the old bastard.the el cheapo chinese turbo,so cheap we would laugh if it imploded

LOVE IT!!!

big A/R comp and you're off - 900Nm@wheels at 5000rpm--> 675lb.ft should be about 470kW @ wheels? so maybe closer to 700Nm?

anyway - love it, huge fan of backyard conversions that actually work (11.45 1/4mile) hell yeah!

oh yer prob more like it around the 700 or something mark,got a president front cut yesterday from Nisbits and pulled the motor out ,its got a low 95000 ks on it so looks to be a minter,payed about 1750NZD for it so not a bad price,most likely do the injectors while its out,been offered 6 sard injectors that are 750cc,just need another 2,once in wind the boost to 12 or 14 pounds and try for 10s,get it tuned again to check AR ratios,it will be complete madness or blow the whole rear of the car out ,will be about 2 weeks or so till this is in and goin,ive got an old FJ20 to build for an escort we race so thats taking first in line position,will keep the people updated.
