im trying to get a massive (like 200- 300 cars) show/ drift/auto-x thing going on but i want too see how many people would be interested im going to make it a 2-day event and im thinking 50$ a person to slide race or whatever im trying to organize this at GILLETTE STADIUM so theres no worry about room but i need alot of people to make the liability and all of the bull go away so post this everywhere and anywhere i want everybody to show up from civics to 350zs to muscle cars im also goiung to see if i can get 90% of the proceeds to go towards a charity and the rest to liability.

Looking like July 25th and 26th.Drift/Show: July 25thAutoX/Show: July 26th

Gillette Stadium1 Patriot PlaceFoxboro, MA

According to this map:http://library.kraftsportsgrou...p.pdf

Looks to be lot 51 (320,000 sq. ft) for event and 52 (250,000 sq. ft) for the show.

Oh herro guys! That would be a fun thing, let me know how the planning progresses. If it goes thru I can get it added to the national meets calander and advertise the heck out of it.

I don't mind helping you out. What have you secured so far? The parking lot?

A few summers ago I did some work with Make A Wish- very good people to deal with and even help you out with PR and advertising. Local radio stations are also VERY helpful- the most helpful for me was 98.1 WCTK. Yes, its a country music, but they're spot on with getting you help and all around very helpful and charitable guys.

This thread is more of a testing waters type of deal. We need to make sure we have people, I'm checking out SCCA rules and regs and seeing how insurance will work out. After that we present it to Gillette and ask what they require. Judging what they say, we continue on to make sure we have advertising, a double check on rough attendance, then re-present it to Gillette.

I'm thinking depending on the amount of people depends on the price. I paid $80 for a 2 day rally, so maybe $50 for the weekend or $30 per day, plus if anyone wants to donate anything else.

What sounds good for a charity, any ideas?

Currently planning a track layout...

Maybe in lot 42, 50, 51, 54, or 55.. PLENTY of open space, the only thing is they just re-paved all this...

I'm going to send Gillette an email with their event planner thing. From there I'll get a phone number and get the basics on where to start.

Just got a call from Gillette. I'm getting more info from them via e-mail, but the lady just wanted to touch base and get a good ground to start on via phone. Looking like a weekend in late July.

Essentially she said yes, we've held events like this before. So this could easily go down. I'm looking for square footage needed, so to do that I need help...

DJBUTTON: From advertising, how many people can you get to go for the show part? This can give me a rough number of spots to factor for people on other forums, plus whoever is down on NICO.

More updates to come...

UPDATE:Looking like July 25th and 26th. Jacob, please edit the first post to add:

Drift/Show: July 25thAutoX/Show: July 26th

Also, take down the rough estimate pricing

you guy should see if you can get any company's or anything like that to show to have some sort of vendor stall section like mainly Ne company's anything from imports to muscle cars to euro's.

if you can get them to show up they might give this idea a little bit more of a look at so it not just a parking lot full of just cars. to me it just seem more legit when you got sponsors and vendors. the vendors don't got to sell anything just be there to show off what they can do if you get what i mean.

but i think if you get this looking like a real car thing that they can bring back year after year then they will be more then willing to rent the space out for it.

If you want, I can post the URL of this event in other nissan sites. I'm a member of zcar.com and I'm sure some z'ers would want to auto-x their z's. C'mon guys, post this on other forums! I'm sure we can make this happen!

When you say Auto-X do you mean drifting, drag racing and more?

I think Fujii would be down for doing this. Will be a hell of a good time! Even if it means just showing up and hangin out with a bunch of people with the same interests. Plus, if the proceeds are going to kids, then I'm down for that.

This is perfect! I'm down and i can start spreading the word to the random crews around town.

I really recommend getting some booths or spaces set up for tuning companies or even vendors. maybe one of the shops can set up a dyno and sell runs?
