It was unopened and looked like a good deal. Never needed this type of thing and always enjoyed being lost if that ever happened.

Does anyone have something similar or think it's a good gift or something?

Also, can I plug this thing in the BMW 325i cigarette lighter plug in?

I haven't ever bought a navi unit, because I usually have a map printed, or know where I am going.

If I lived somewhere that I needed one, it would probably be cool to have.

Should plug into the lighter. I don't see why not.

i'm running TOM TOM on my PDA, I love it. I never own the standalone ones though. however, it should come with a power kit for plug into the cig. lighter port. most of them are that way anyways.

Used it today. Evidently I don't always use the shortest route. Kind of neat and fits in my pocket. Guess it gives me something to do at the stop lights.

I picked up a Garmin Nuvi 265w after Christmas. It's like a $380 unit that I got for $220. ( on a gift card no less!) I travel a lot for work and I wanted one with bluetooth. I love it, but I have to talk to Garmin about who they get their map info from. That thing can't find **** for long-established stores and whatnot.

This thing has been kind of handy. I hooked it up to the internet to download some extra maps or updates and screwed up. Had to wipe it all off and reload everything.

It does seem to want to point me to the freeway too much.

It's great if you happen to zone out while traveling and your turn is coming up.
