I kinda think we need this to be able to searched and found pretty quickly, ThanksEveryone always askes How, so i figured i'd post this for those of you that don't know or new comers that need it!
Drain Coolant, and Gear Oil, Not motor Oil
Ok, first you wanna pull both the motors out of whatever you're swapping
If the newer KA is an automatic, leave the transmission in the car. If the chassis you're swapping into is 5 speed, pull the motor and the transmission. If the chassis is automatic, leave it in.
A pilot bearing is on both motors - 1 is an auto pilot bearing and 1 is a manual. You can purchase both at autozone. You need to swap accordingly. The tool can also be used from autozone(but i used a flathead screw driver).
Now, on the newer KA motor a few things have to come off and replaced with OBDI. Distributor of course, since the other is OBDIIExhaust Manifold, the OBDII exhaust manifold has 1 port at the bottom to the downpipe, and OBDI exhaust as 2. If the chassis is OBDI, then it needs its original manifold back.
Now, the odd part.
The only reason you would swap the entire intake is because of the fuel rail. The OBDII fuel rail is different from the OBDI. The OBDII fuel rail, can be bent in a non harming position to actually fit the OBDI intake bolt holes and hoses.
This is what happened to me. We swapped Intakes during my swap, and fuel rail. Then my 3rd injector went out. I used my OBDII Injectors and Fuel Rail back on my OBDI Intake. I had to bend out a bit of the fuel rail to get it to fit, and maybe even cut some of it off. It is very well known what to do with the fuel rail if you're in this position, or if you do not want to swap the intake out. Which saves a bit of time and a little bit of money.
We also swapped P/S pumps. Only because of the S13 High Pressure hose fitment and placing. I believe if your S13 P/S pump is in good enough shape, go ahead and swap these out, you'll save some hassel with it, maybe some time to.
So, things you need if you're swapped OBDII Auto KA to OBDI Manual KA Chassis

Best thing to do, If you have OBDI MT is mount it before you place the motor and MT back in the OBDI car. Way easier.
Thanks and Good Luck!
I used a 96 motor into my 92 hatch, and the car loves it!
