Wuts up guys. As you can tell I am new here but not new to forums. I have a Honda CRX but i am selling it and i am in the process of getting a 240 s13 hatch with a SR. Hence rex2SX

I have a good amount of knowledge of automotibles in general and i have done bit of research in Nissan in particular.

My plans are to sell the SR and work on an RB swap for the next 6 months as well as some other stuff.

I will post pics ASAP. If anyone can help me with good tech links that'd be greatly aprreciated.

blown. Plus i want a motor with a better foundation for higher #s. I am shooting somewhere around 400-500hp, i know its a big gap but it depends how the cash flow, and how many deals i can get lol.

Becuase i can part out the motor. Well , depending upon how bad the damage is i may even be able to fix it up and sell it whole. I am hoping he just spun a bearing or somethin that doesnt do a whole lot of damage.

Lets just say i am getting it for more than $500 but less than $700,

Lol. Yes i only want 4-500 hp convsidering i have never truly driven a car over 200. I drove a z28 but it was only for a few min and i didnt open it up.

So heres project rex. [img][http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/3117 ... fo3.th.jpg[/img] I only put the seats in, "mesh" girll, fixed the bumper a bit. But i am selling it w/o the seats and the aftermarket bumpers. I got factoy onces instead. It could have been a nice, quick car...

Ill post pics of the 240 once i get full posession. But beware, its not pretty.

lol ooook.

Just to give a description there is literally trash all inside the cabin. No front driver seat as of yet, the front bumper is in the car as well as the valve cover. There is a bunch of interior pieces inside the car actually. The door panels are off, the drivers side window is busted or maybe just not on the tracks right, and it has been raining and snowing here. The motor has no radiator, intercoolr or piping. The fan looks like its broken, just hanging there. Its not inspected. And i bet there a far more problems i will run into once i start tearing it apart. There is also what looks like a bit mark above the exhuast tip on the rear bumper. The diff is also welded too.Sooo..yea

A t least it has the SR , and a good body. Although it primer black..

im just curious as to why youd opt for an RB25 when you can easily make that kind of power on a motor much smaller than that.

not to mention less expensive.

seems like youre overcompensating for a desire that youre wanting. just personal opinion, of course.

I dont want to "max" out a motor at those levels. This is just to get me started, who knows what i will want to do in the future. I want a motor with alot of potential. Plus i see too many sr swapped 240s and i want to do the RB before it gets to that point.

The whole swap will be expensive but i think it will be more reliable at those power levels for the money put into the actual motor. Just my theory thought, i am somehwat new yet and i am still doing much research.

ok so if 400-500 is just to get started, whats your ultimate goal then?

also what is the purpose of the car? drift? daily? drag? auto x?

Glad to see I'm not the only one.. I am new to the board as well.. I have 3 240's total but my newest (most recent) is a 90' hatch.. Paid *$860 for it and it has a vader2 kit and some old 17's.. But none the less it is a project car.. Quick question, I read why you chose the RB25 for the 4-500hp, but with (and I'm probably going to sound stupid) a sr can you not get that.. Reason I ask is b/c I thought you could..

I want it to be a drift/daily. I have never drifted before so i figure this is a good place to start where i can make enough power to get the car sideways and keep it there and but not that much to kill myself lol.

I wouldnt mind taking to a strip though, but i would probably have to readjust alot of things.

i def wouldn't suggest 400-500 hp then. if thsi is your first rwd car and first drift car, jsut rebuild the sr and run it with that mostly stock for awhile. bump up the power after you get more of a feel for it, but you dont need 500hp for the street or drifting. the stock sr bottom end is capable of 400hp and thats more then enough for what you need. an rb swap is just overkill
