Buy a working one w/lower mileage on eBay. That'll be easier. Or swap with analog cluster. I don't know if it's just me, but once I have digital, I don't want to go back to analog somehow.

I gave up trying to use nissan's hud after mine went out and just swapped in an aftermarket digital gauge. I think mine was cyberdyne or something equally inexpensive. It's bright as hell.

Is the swap with the analog a direct switch?

I would do it, does not bother me to much i have had my car for 4 months and the damn HUD turns on when it wants sort of a pain in the butt, i drive for 20 minutes or so not knowing how fast i am going =(

technically yes, you need to make sure you grab the analog harness out of the dash as well. you will need to cut 1 zip-tie and unplug it. the digi has 2 plugs on the back of the cluster whereas the analog has 3. T~T I miss my digital cluster soo bad, the analog can't measure past about 120
