I dont see why people think there camaros and mustangs are so much faster then the Z32 NAs i think there all in the same class

To me a Twin Turbo Z doesent even compete with the v8 mustang and the v8 camamo ( im talking on stock levels)

i know you can build mustangs and camaros to be great, but stock to stock my NA puts 2-3 cars on my friends 95 gt mustang and my other friends 93 Z28

You can find multiple youtube videos NA Z32 vs Mustang Gt or Z28 i just dont like how people underestimate the NA.

i have never driven a Twin Turbo so i wouldent know what they exactly what they compete with i would think Corevettes, Trans AM's NSX's ,Supras

i would like to know what the twin turbos main competition was in the 90's

- 3000gt VR4?- Corvette ?- Aucra NSX?- DEL SOL?

1. i have a del sol as well as a N/A and it is rediculously slow i did mototr swap and everything to it still very slow compared to the z.2.a corevette would spank the living pants off of a Z N/A or TT 500hp stock is quite a bit not to knock the Z or anything3. 300gt vr4 all wheel drive turbo pretty quick. faster than the N/A but not sure bout the TT4. Acura is dumb5. Chevy camaro z28 will destroy a N/A might hold up to just regular camaro but a z28 those avre very fast i used to have one a 96 z28 and had full exhaust and intake and it ran a 13.8 in the quater at englishtown. very fast. 6. Mustangs are dumb as well a N/A would prob eat a mustang for breakfast and a TT would shi* em out7. and supras are up there with the skyline you cant realy compare them to a Z well the 90-98 version not the 80's8. the tt's biggest competitor is probably the dodge stealth R/t twin turbo or the 3000gt vr4http://www.edmunds.com/dodge/stealth/review.html

Stealth TT/3000gt vr4 and the supra are in the same class as the 300zx TT, NSX is technically a supercar dont know how it would hold up against the zx/vr4/supra. Anything chevy with lt1 is trash! anything with LS1 is nice and fast (been there), Mustang 302 (5.0) would probly give a zx a good run till the middle of second haha, seriously though mustangs have a great launch and no top, as far as direct conpetitors your looking at the early 90s pony cars (z28 and gt) as comp for the N/A though the N/A is probly slower (I never raced any z28s or gts when mine was N/A) and the TT takes on the vette and cobra, but the corba is kinda left in the dust (too heavy for the power) All these comparos are year to year as in a 1991 300zx TT vs 1991 Corvette and 1991 Cobra.

you would lose. Both a GT and a Z28 would hand you your ***. I wont bother to justify my statement but if you search the forum you would see my stance.

id also like to see a 1990-1996 mustang gt take a 1990 Z

to xbillisedgex. #7 You should try looking at the video forum before saying that supras are above the 300zx. watch the two links below. http://videos.streetfire.net/v...8.htm http://videos.streetfire.net/v...2.htmTT's are alot faster than you think. #3 I went up against a 3000gt n/a and mine is an 300zx n/a and I took him in second from stop.

the only way to really compare any 2 cars is stock vs. stock. after that it's pretty much anybody's game if you have the knowledge and desire to make your car faster.

Supra's from the 94+ time w/ stock turbos fully modded aren't too fast, and they weigh a ****LOAD. It's those built 2JZ's w/ big 80+mm turbos that are trouble.

the 3000gt n/a completly different then a 3000gt vr4the vr4 is all wheel drive twin turbo incredible launch capabilities the reg 3000gt is just front wheel drive v6 . the ones i am reffering to is the TT Z against the 3000gtvr4 and stealth r/t. never seen a stock to stock but jsut going by theory from friends with those cars.

skyline is also considered super car hense why no longer shipped to america only if special ordered and went through customs and changed to meet US standards. i dont know if the TT is considered a super car. i am not doubting the Z i love these cars but to be honost i dont know if it would hold up to the R32 dont know to much about acura or the NSX. these are all fast cars and i would love to have a TT Z over any of them because they are just bad as* but i am trying to see the reality. the all wheel drive turbo cars are amazing with handling and launch. up there with the STI's and EVo's with handling launch. those cars are quick also

skyline isn't a super car first of all because of the price. I don't beleive that they ever had the skyline in the US b/c it wouldn't pass emmisions. You have to go to japan to have it imported and have it sent properly to go through customs and do a hole lot of mods to get it proper. Even if you did consider that a skyline is a super car which it isn't. Just because it is a super car that is not the reason why the us wouldn't allow it here. I see an Acura NSX at an acura dealership not too far from my house and the NSX is a super car. Most super cars cost at least 100K. also skylines are slow in the corners b/c of the weight.

watch the secodn half of this video pretty sure the skyline is not slow in any department. and super car does not reffer to cost at all if it did then a bentley would be a super car and a BMW and mercedes could be super cars it refers to class. of car and skyline is a supercar. and it has nothing to do with emissions it is becasue 1 right side drive and some things in the skyline are aginst DOT regulatiions emissions is a petty problem and does not pertain to reasoning as to why it is not allowed here.

my friend has a 80's i believe an 87(body style produced till 93) mustang 5.0gt. and he beats me every time. we are both stock. we have a difference of like 4 horsepower but a difference of 100ft lb's of torque. there is just no competing against that torque difference.

I ran a red 5.0 "early 90's model". And it was dead even until 90 , he pulled about half a car off the line , i caught a little in 2nd. And after 90mph a mustang is like a civic. Might as well have hit the brakes.

Keep in mind i have a completely stock "except exhaust and cold air intake"

he pulled at least a cars length on me but we never went above 80 do to the road. driving his car you can tell he has loads of low end torque.

The 300ZX was built to be a direct competitor against the Mitsubishi 3000GT, Mazda RX-7, and Toyota Supra. They all have 0-60 times in the mid to high 5's and low 6's, and 1/4 mile times of around 14 seconds. This site shows 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for stock cars.

http://www.albeedigital.com/su....html

What it really comes down to IMO, is being the better driver than your opponent, rather than having a car that will do 0-60 a tenth of a second quicker.

1987 Ford Mustang GT 6.4 14.4 (Automobile, April 87)1990 Nissan 300ZX 7.1 15.5granted we never did an actual 1/4 mile. but i would be curious to the outcome.

edit-redlinez32 i don't have a tt =(

i just want to smack my head against my desk.

The Z was made BEFORE the cars your talking about (the z was in no way made to compete with a mark III supra or an old RX-7).

NSX is technically a supercar, but it's not very powerful when compared to other supercars. Not sure how he TTZ would hold up against the NSX in a straight line.

But on a track, stock for stock, the NSX would win if the driver's skills were equal.
