I am new to Nissan's and I have recently bought a 95 S14 with a bunch of goodies. My purpose for switch from an AWD STI to RWD 240sx is solely for the benefit of broadening my driving experience with cars around the track. I have been interested in these cars for many years and I felt it was time. I would like to at least take this opportunity to show a hint of this brands potential. I have many years in this area and hope to inspire others in my area.

So that was the skinny about me, my reason for this post is to extend an invitation to those interested who have graphics experience. I have a friend who own's his own Commercial Graphic's business who is interested in investing some graphics on my car. He has offered to go as far as wrapping the whole car.

My experience up to now has been with Subaru's, so I would really appreciate and I am very interested in seeing what ideas the Nissan community has to offer. I will do my best to make you proud at our events.

Hope to make this a fun idea, we are still brainstorming some ideas. Some of the best idea's I have found believe it or not has been on the racing games website forums like Forza Motorsports.

So here are some backgrounds what events the car will be participating in.

Road CircuitsTime AttacksDrift Events

Many thanks in advance,

Cheech

Not saying your a noob, but seems like its the first thing they notice and have to always bring it up. Anyway the crazy wing is not going away anytime soon, thats unless she decides to come off at triple diget speeds, that would be the only exception. The fact of the matter is the car has been setup for a reason, and no its not intended for a show car.

And thanks for the response.

if its not a show car, then why do you need graphics or vinyls on it? if your really going to track the car then the only stickers you should have on your car are from your sponsors.

and i 2nd the opinion that you should take off the wing or at least put a real wing on there thats attached directly to the spring perches. And if you want to be competitive you should definitely look at changing your wheels/tires those are some heavy mofos you got there.

Leave the man alone. Its his car. The wing is obviously not from auto zone and serves a purpose. The nismo decal i think looks good but o don't know about on a red car.

The car looks good by the way. Whats hiding under that hood.

My bad, I didn't provide enough information about myself, so I guess others are questioning who I am and why exactly I'm posting this thread. Very good question.

I am a High Performance Driving Instructor for BMWCCA. I have been with them for over 4yrs and have been road racing for over 8yrs. Most of my past driving experience has been with Subaru STI's. I have since decided to add RWD and Drifting to my resume and have decided to switch platforms. Most of the car was already modified, I'm still in the process of added a few items of my own and sorting her out for the track events I'm involved with.

Here are somethings you may be interested in knowing. I get free track time doing what I do and because of it I intend to utilize that time to develope this car. As part of the agreement I have with the seller, he wants to see this car on the track. I am not a huge fan of dressing up my cars with graphics, but when you have a friend that owns a commercial graphics company and he says he wants to do something really cool with your car, what do you thinks most are gonna say.

So back to the topic here, I'm just looking for some ideas from others who are more familar with the Nissan scene. It's not my intention to come across as someone who is rude, I just felt that sometimes we can help others without passing judgement first.

How about these for track wheels! 16lbs each corner.

the guy asks for if anybody has cool ideas for graphics on his car and ya'll bash him for it, way to represent NICO guys not everyone who puts a sticker on their car is a ricer. if the man wants to put decals and vinyls on his car, let him be. you dont have to like it, but you dont have to be a d!ck about it.

to the OP: the car is clean man. in agreement with the others on the wing, just get it attached to the spring perches and have fun best of luck on the car and be sure to keep this updated.

You guys are all being D@#$'sI'm sure this guy could destroy you on the track with his Big wing and his Decals.

If I were you I would find a friend thats good with photo shop. Then start playing around with some ideas.Google Images would help too for some examples.

Do you have any sponsors? If so browse through there logos and other sponsored cars then take some of those pieces that you like and add them to yours.

I'm not artistically inclined so I can't help you.

I currently do have friends who are fluent with Photoshop and the graphic's company doing most if not all of the work, but they do not have Nissan backgrounds. I am trying to do this right and capture the true essense of what Nissan is all about, but it appears too many people can't get over the minor details and can't understand its purpose. It would help if people would learn to read the info correctly.

It's sad that so far the most help I've received is from my old Subaru forum. Perhaps its best that I withdraw this thread as most are not interested or capable in seeing the opportunity this presents, to have someone put the good name of Nissan on the fast track against others like BMW, Audi and many more. I don't know, maybe there must be a lot of Nissan's buzzing around at a Road Race Circuit so its no big deal to you. But where I'm from this will be the only one, especially one that is being driven by an Instructor who could possibly be helping other Nissan drivers like yourself. Just like I have been doing for my Subaru friends I'd like to do for my new Nissan friends as well.

So if NicoClub is not interested I completely understand I'd be happy to withdraw.

no reason to withdrawl, NICO has its quick to judge rice hating flamers just like every other car forum. i've never done graphics, and my photoshop skills are miniscule at best, but there is help to be found on NICO. we are the largest Nissan community in the world, if you cant find what you need to know here, good luck finding it anywhere else.

The best advice I can give is probably to have this thread moved to the general forum where more people can see it. Since this thread really isn't media, I don't see why it should be in here. I'm not very artistic or creative so I can't give you any advice about what exactly you should put on the car.

A wrap would be awesome! It would showcase the talents of the designer if it came out looking great. Maybe include their company name somewhere hidden in the graphics?! Try and include something from Nico like the ! Anyone from Nico sees it and just knows. Talk with the driving school and see if they want in on it. That would be a perfect way to get their company noticed. "I saw an instructor from that driving school whooping everyone's butt on the track yesterday!" Hope that helps.

I'm a little confused on what you want to go for. If your open to any ideas i would check out this website.

http://www.endeffect.com

I have been taking wallpapers from him for years. I absolutely love his stuff and have always wondered how some of them would look across the side of a car.

I have emailed and talked to the owner/creator before and hes a nice guy. I would maybe even talk to him about getting a design going. (just a suggestion)

I also enjoy the multiple color stripped look. Here is an example. Its my friend's dads ford cosworth he built. Its made to look like the replica of the old ford rally car.

Just some ideas or suggestions

I like the car and can understand jazzing it up some if it's free especially!. Personally I'd try to work the front cannards into the graphic somehow. They stick out too much on that red body. Maybe an upward sweep from below the cannards..make it a two tone..black on top..Then the cannards disappear into the paint job and become part of it...I am not good with photoshop but colors should definitely include black or silver inthe graphic..Hope that gives some germ of an idea...

Not to get off topic but i might kinda know you. Are you Hmong? Do you know a guy from Sheboygan WI named Shoua who drives a black 2.5RS? Is one of your friends Fugi with the green subi wagon and the STI swap. Shoua is one of my buddies and he goes to MN for driving lessons and he told me his instructor just bought a S14 for drifting and he showed me a pic and i think its this one. Just wondering.

I say if you have a PS2 or know someone who does rent the game need for speed. And use their graphics and see what you like. That way you can have a realistic idea of what you are looking for.

GTFO, Obviously you are all about what you think looks good and not what performs at the track.

To the OP, very nice 240 and I love your new wheel choice Vinyl wise I thought black vinyls always looked good on red, kind like the vinyls on the Audi R8... Also in the Fast and The Furious I thought the 350z graphics were pretty nice. (I also loved the paint job on the s15, I'm a sucker for orange cars )

Am I the only one that thinks the two front bumper cutouts make it seem like a pignose??

Thanks for the suggestion, I have a list of items I'd like to make sure it ends up on the car. I like it but I'll keep it in the back burner for now.

Dittoz7-Thanks for the feedback.

eidk-I will definately take a look that the URL when I get home.

2ndnissan-Those cannards are likely going to be replaced with some more serious ones in the future. Great idea.

SR24DET-Small world. I am that guy.

newdude1-Yeah, I've been checking various game forums and google.

tEknoS13-Thats a new one on me. I cut them out a few days before the first test day I could get out on the fast track. After several test days on shorter tracks I noticed high temps. So it was a quick fix. If you're that concern I have another bumper. Its common to see similiar details on JDM front bumpers.

First and formost, shoua asked me if i wanted to go to MN for one of your track days. I asked him if i could drift and he told me no so i didnt come. But sounds like you get plenty of track time.

As far as graphics go. do you want tribal stuff, or are you looking for pictures of things. From what ive seen there are two types of nissan people. Those that hate stickers and want to keep the car clean, and those that love stickers and put brand name stickers or jokes on there car. I havent seen normal graphics on any yet. Alot of ppl at the drift tournment put things like "**** is epic" and " Huge @ss stick" and things as jokes, while others have there drift team sticker on theres. I have a few decals on the window, but those are from sponcers. I am also going to design a stick for my drift team to put on there car. But the joke stickers like the ones posted before make me LOL so i also thought about those.

I don't know your title sponsor, but I can use their logo if you let me know, but here's a few samples. Now I just used my car and it's just to get an idea, so don't look at the kit or wheels or wing or anything specific about this car... just the graphics...
