Can anyone suggest where to get a decent set of TPMS sensors for a 2007 M35? Also, looking for somewhere in Canada to get a decent price on a winter wheel and tire package?

If you want OEM, contact http://www.everythinginfiniti.com ... else Tire Rack has some after-market products (these are not integrated with the built-in system, of course!).

Please explain what you mean by "these are not integrated with the built-in system, of course!". Does this mean that the Tire Rack TPMS sensors won't display tire pressure on the car's screen? The OEM TPMS sensors are $82.54 ea (on everythinginfiniti.com), and the Tire Rack TPMS sensors are $65.00 ea, so there would be a price advantage with the Tire Rack sensor; BUT if they don't display/operate the same as OEM then the OEM sensors would be the perferred choice.

Thanks....

I got aftermarket TPMS sensors from Discount Tire for ~$40 per wheel as part of my winter tire / wheel package. Yoko W.drive + cheap alloy wheels + sensors = $1200 delivered. Whether or not that is a good price is debatable. Maybe you can get the sensors only, maybe not at that price. But, after getting the tires / wheels installed, I went to the local Nissan dealer, they paired up the TPMS sensors in about 5 minutes for free! So far, so good.

It is my understanding that the Tire Rack systems are stand-alone after-market TPMS systems that can be added to any wheel - using a band that goes around the rim. Meaning they come with their own little display ... completely independent of the Infiniti screen.

This assumes that they are, indeed, not selling the OEM sensors. I will go take a look to be certain of this assumption.

Interesting! I was not aware that the after-market sensors could be integrated into the Infiniti measurement system ... can you provide more information on the exact model of sensor, etc.?

Thanks,

Okay, I looked at the Tire Rack stuff: http://www.tirerack.com/access...stems.

They sell two separate TPMS after-market systems, and that page clearly states that the replacement sensors are not compatible with OEM systems. Plus, there is no item for $65 that I saw - 83wildcat, do you have another link to some other product there?

Plus ... I'd like to hear more about the ones from Direct Tire that do work with the OEM systems!

Here's the line item from my Discount Tire invoice:

Prod Code: 98060Description: #20064 TQ-70 IN\LBS TPMS SENSORPrice: $46/ea.

I believe these are on the stems. I can't be absolutely sure, since the tires were already mounted on the wheels when I got them, but that's what I remember the sales guy telling me.

I was looking at a set of rims on Tire Rack and it had a link saying "View Important TPMS Info". When you click on the link, you get a pop up with the following info:

WARNING! Tire Pressure Monitoring SystemYour vehicle is equipped with a tire pressure monitoring system that requires a sensor to be installed in the tire and wheel assembly for proper operation.

The original sensors from your original wheels can be used or you may purchase sensors from Tire Rack. Your system includes:

315MHZ TIRE PRESSURE SENSOR$260.00 for a quantity of 4

Total Price: $260.00

($260.00/4 = $65.00 ea).

The photo on they included showed a red TPMS sensor which appeared to be mounted inside of the valve stem hole.

I have the tirerack sensors on my snow tires and they work fine with factory system.

They need Serial number of the car to make sure they get ones that work. But otherwise no problem.

Do you NEED the sensors? I don't really mind seeing the light for a couple months in the winter if it is not an issue with the car?

No, you do not need the sensors per se.

I don't even have a TPMS on my car for example! I have a very accurate tire pressure gauge and use it every other weekend (give or take a few days) to make sure that the pressures are what I want them to be.

you can get them used on ebay for 20-bux each...sometimes new for >< 100-bux a set of 4.

The '07 M35 uses 40700-CD001 TPMS sensors. You will need to take it to Nissan to get the car to recognize them after installation.
