It might be a simple fix but as of right now none of the gauges are working in my 240sx (s13) are working. I been working on my car for some time now on getting this thing to run after I let a really shady shop in Tampa put a vq35de in my car. I am almost done with the fuel system, which is has been a thorn in my side for about three months.

Before I go on for ever about the car I just want to know the best way to get my gauges to work.

if it helps I an using a AEM stand alone ECU.

Hey I've been looking into doin this swap too. Not that this will help you any and I'm sorry if it doesn't but there is this shop known as Zfever. They've supposedly done a couple of these swaps. Here is their website

http://www.zfever.com/catalog/

and their number

(813) 877-7600

Hope this helps!

Hey sorry, you just said a shop in Tampa. There's a lot of shops down in that area.

Anyways, there's a guy on this site who is a electronics geneous. Look up Broadfield....He's also got some killer deals on audio, video, and performance stuff...

On another note, do you like the VQ swap. I wanted it because its N/A motor with a good deal of HP...

Hey man I am sorry to hear that. Plus one to you for having a badass motor tho. Wish I did, but I would talk to Broadfield or hell go talk to those people. They owe you on how to fix it. its their fault for messing up

I would not let that shop change my headlight! I will end up fixing it all myself.

Bring it to us and we'll make it work with the stock ECU and the gauges from the motor donor car.

We've been interested in doing a swap like that for a while.

Any updates? I've been wanting to know how to get a speed signal using this trans if at all possible I see a cover to what looks like a hole for a speed sensor but nothing so far.... I'm guessing that the posted swap from SpecDracing didn't help you much?

well AEM ems should have RPM signal out and for a speed signal I believe you just need an abs source and the AEM will convert it for you. otherwise you would use a Dakota digital converter +abs signal to get a speedo signal. For tach you can modify the factory tach to read 6cylinder you can look it up online it is pretty simple to do. or you can spend another $75 on another Dakota 6cyl -> 4cyl tach signal converter and it will work just fine.
