I keep getting dirt between my wheel/tire bead when drifting, giving me a flat.

Nissan dominates the drift scene - Always has, always will.

I go drifting every month and the last few time's I went, I got dirt in the front tire/wheel bead. Then air leaks out, making my day not as good as it could be. The track I go to has alot of dirt. Alot of poeple get a little off road because of how much dirt get's on the track. I'm running 17x7 with some 225/45/17 front and 17x8 with 235/45/17 rear. Has anyone else have this problem. I just changed to 235/45/17 all around. Anyone have any good ideas to keep this from happening. I see people with stretched tires that have big gaps between the tire/wheel and they never seem to have this problem when getting a little off road.

there is absolutely no way this is possible.

you need to make sure your wheel/inner tire bead/valve stem isnt damaged.

I thought about some clear rvt around where the wheel tire meet. Then nothing could enter the bead. Then I could just peal it off when changing tires.

I'm 100% sure of it. I watched my tire guy take off my tire's and there is dirt left on the wheel/tire bead area.

If this happens on my new 235's I'm gona try some clear rvt.

well there is a space there.

thats normal. dirt gets everywhere.

there is no way dirt is causing your tire to deflate

ive been working in a performance shop for 4 years (busted my fair share of tires), and drifting for 5. thats not physically possible.
