Hello,

I have a 2007 M35 Sport. I recently had the Summer Sport wheels taken off and had 4 winter tires installed on OE 18" alliuminum wheels.

I did not buy or have the TPMS insstalled on the winter wheels. When I picked up my vehicle I was expecting to have a warning light on because of no TPNS but I didn't.

Fast forward 2 days, today I was driving home from work and went over a decent bump in the road, as I did I noticed that the "Low tire pressure light came on". The car felt and was driving fine so I continued to a gas station and checked the tire pressure. The tire pressure was fine.

My question is would the "low tire pressure" light be on because of the TPMS being off the winter wheels?

Also, what inflation should I keep the winter tires at in a COLD climate?

Thanks for your help,

Alex

There is a difference between the computer seeing no pressure (two *'s in the display) and it seeing a low pressure. The warning light only comes on in the low pressure situation. Since there is no way that the computer can see low pressure if there are no sensors in the wheels, I have no clue why going over a bump would effect this in any way....

I have winter wheels with no sensors and my low pressure light remains on.
