I've got a 92 Hatch SE, and my passenger side seat belt is giving me hell. It seems to close only intermittantly and sometimes will only close about half way. I usually just open the door, it slides forward, then just sits there once the door is closed again. I am thinking it must just be a sensor cuz my seatbelt alarm on my cluster is still always beeping and chiming, but is does register the door being closed. I'm not really sure where to start so any advice would be appreciated!

you will see a little round plug on the interior 1/4 panel. Pop the plug out and stick a 6mm allen wrench in there. Needs to be a long handle one. Trun the little screw inside the motor to retract the belt.Do this with the door open and leave it open. Ign must be off. The best solution is to remove the entire 1/4 interior piece and unplug the f'n motor. Once done then you just need to manually use the belt and no more problems.

Im pretty sure seatbelts on s13s are life time warrenty. So you should be able to get it fixed by the dealership correctly.

Pull the interior panel that covers the B pillar. There will be a little black plastic piece under there right at the back the seatbelt track that covers two switches. Remove them and open them up very carefully. Spray them out with carb cleaner. Reinstall. It will work.

The graphite grease from the track gums up the position switch and the seat belt computer does not know where the belt is. I had the same problem. Just download the FSM and you will see what I am talking about.

EDIT: Ok, it is called the rear limit switch. It's location can be found on page. BF-29 in the FSM. You're welcome.
