Well, picked this little car up today for less than a grand. It's a 1991 Nissan Sentra SE-R (B13 Chassis) with the factory SR20DE (Non turbo version of the motor that is in my 240SX). The motor has a spun rod bearing, but other than that runs fine, ha ha. Thanks to a buddy I have a spare engine sitting on the side of my house from his G20, so I'm good to go!

This car I am building as my not only my winter daily driver, but as my purpose built autox car! That's right, I am going to build this car for a certain SCCA class to compete in autox next year! I'll have to figure out what class I am going to shoot for first, but for now, I'm just going to be getting the car ready for the winter! I want to keep the budget under $3000 if I can!

Now for pics in the condition I picked it up in!

Also, does anyone know how to tell from the VIN if the car has the LSD transmission?

Here is the uncleaned interior...

Just a quick exterior wash to end the day!

Lol, guess I've been hanging around my G20 buddy too long then, because with those cars it's a hit and miss with the LSD option, ha ha. Thanks though!

I have a QR25DE 6 speed transmission sitting in my garage I might be thinking of putting in the car, but I still have a bunch of parts I need to get still for the complete swap setup!

Probably ought to keep the 5spd. The 6spd won't really help you, at least not for the cost. What year is it out of?

Well, I finally got my replacement engine on the engine stand! It's out of a 91 G20, so it's even the same year motor as the car. Engine has about 180k on it I believe, but it doesn't have a rod knock! lol

Well, after 3 weeks, I finally got all my Tsuru headlight conversion and taillights! Everything is Nissan Factory and is brand new! It even came with all the Tsuru emblems which I didn't ask for, ha ha

Well, I worked on transferring some parts from the old motor to the new, as well as installed a header. It's just a cheaper JVT header, and I had to do some modifications to it so it would not only fit correctly, but flow better as well. I also, installed some new tune up parts as well as a JDM upper intake manifold, so I can delete all the emissions stuff. Tomorrow, I'm hoping to get the motor finished up and possibly even get it in the car! I'll be working on it for 6 hours or so...

subsribed. Just a question, that inner taillight bezel, does it light up? My mom used to have a P10, I wish she kept it. (g20)

I was going to paint the valve cover, but I got lazy and decided I'd do it later, ha ha. I was going to go with a gunmetal though...

Are there any advantages to the Tsuru headlights other than different appearance?
