The value of my Nissan?
9:46 PM 9/28/2008
I have a Nissan 240SX SE convertible for sale. It is a 1992 with only around 112,000 miles. Not too bad in my opinion for 16 years of driving. I purchased it about two years ago from a private owner. At the time it had just under 100,000 miles. It is automatic transmission, tan leather interior, rwd, power windows, power locks, power controlled convertible top, has cd player with am/fm radio, and has a spolier. It is in good condition. The motor to the top was replaced only two years ago. I replaced the water pump about a year ago, and I just put a brand new set of tires on it only two months ago. It runs great. I drove it back and fourth between the Dallas area and Lubbock, TX over the past two years to attend school and it was reliable the entire time. However, it needs a little work appearance wise. The body is great, but the top is weathered slightly and the back window is in very poor condition. I have tape on large tears in the window and it is completely fogged up providing absolutely no clarity to see through while driving. As far as the interior, the leather is worn in both the front seats (driver and passenger) and there are two small rips in the driver seat. Taking the cons into consideration, although they are mostly cosmetic, I wonder how much I should ask regarding price. It is a limited edition. It has great potiential to be worked on and made up into an even faster vehicle. Thanks for any advice!
Also, I forgot to mention the flaws in detail. They are few and minor in my opinion; all cosmetic related. 1.Back window weathered providing low clarity, also contains couple rips in the plastic. 2.Front seats worn a bit. Some cracks in leather. Two small rips in driver's seat. 3.Windshield reservoir does not distribute fluid onto windshield when button is pushed even though the reservoir is full. 4.Power antenna does not move up or down as the ignition is turned on and off even though the power motor is working. 5.Cruise control installed, does not seem to work when buttons are pushed for use. 6.Trunk shocks do not always keep the trunk held open, must hold it open manually. 7.Rims weathered a bit.
I changed the oil on time, and it passed recent inspection this month (9/08). It has a clean title. Here are the features in more detail:
Features: Automatic transmission Tan leather interior Brand new tires Power convertible top Power locks Power windows CD player am/fm radio Cold A/C Over drive Heater Spoiler White exterior 2D, 4 seats
Options Installed: Cruise control, anti-lock brakes, alloy wheels, power steering, power antenna, tilt wheel.
Alright, I was figuring around 4. I appreciate the advice on that. Thanks so much! Yeah, well she is a little worn, which is expected for her age, but I try to keep her clean.
