Got a little bored with the camo after over a year of looking at it so the better half and I sanded her down and shot some new pigmentation. Still retains the twice tone and still has the vibe I always liked about the car. The satin came out so well that I'll probably follow with a satin black on top (keeping the glossy roof) this weekend.

Anyway, on with the pics:

As you can see, I haven't painted over my gas door. I'll find another and shelve my arty door for later.

Spray bomb. I've been told I have good technique...been doing it for 10+ years.

Nooooooo that camo was awesome but i do like the new color. Seafoam greenish. Also is it the camera or is that line across the front bumper warped as f***. Looks good though. I like the black mud flaps they look like crap painted IMO.

Sorry guys. I posted this before I left work yesterday and didn't get a chance to update until today.

1. The paint is by Valspar, it's their premium satin line (for whatever that's worth). It lays like a dream with proper technique and prep.

2. Yeah, I know about the mud in the quarter. I get a lot of flak over my "primered" 240 from the local snobs who think they're better than everyone else. My goal has always been to turn this car from a DD beater to an auto-x beater. It's an easy fix to touch up cone marks with a little quickie spray as opposed to trashing a 2k paint job in one afternoon. If I decide I suddenly care a bunch about appearances on this car, I'd do some over-fenders.

3. The overspray is now gone on the tank. That was literally 4 days after it was painted and it's first time in the sunlight. There are a few touch-up spots for me to get into...no biggie.

4. Yeah, the front line is crooked. Meh...didn't look crooked with the camo...lol! It'll be fixed.

Thanks for all of the compliments/constructive criticisms. It's always nice to get an honest response.

PS: My valve covers are spray-painted, airbrushed and brush painted, depends on the design.

The funny thing is that I have more than one set of 'em. Anytime I see them in the yards, I take 'em.
