I'm assuming you got an alignment right after installation right?
where is your tire rubbing against your car at? If it's the top part of the fender, its probably a camber setting issue. But also, you gotta understand that your tire will turn a bit further than it has before, which means if you're pretty flush already, it may rub a bit further back than the very middle/top of the fender at full lock... (wow I bet that didn't make sense at all, lol)..
either way, I'd either mess a little with the camber, or change your front tire profile...
also, for the pads, yeah, without the brake pedal depress, they should be slightly touching/sliding against the rotors. When you changed your old pads, did you notice any unusual wear (i.e. one pad worn down more than the other), how were the piston boots? If your piston is seized (like mine used to be), it'll press and stay pressed to the rotor. As far as the brake feel, how's the pedal feel? Is it mushy? Late engagement?
