A buddy of mine threw this my way after leaving his shop on Friday. I wish I had taken pics before, but I had no idea how dirty my lenses were. They look 100% better now. They are smooth to the touch without any sand bites. I used a similar method with 1200grit & 600grit by hand on a previous car with plastics lenses, but this is cleaner and more controlled.

This comes with 500grit pads, polish, drill tool, etc...http://www.shop3m.com/60455033872.html

Tell me what you think. Oh, I took my grill out and taped my bumper/fender edges to prevent scratching. My fogs are next if I can figure it out.

The fogs are really easy to get out. There are three bolts under the car to take the plastic belly protector off on each side. Once the bolts are out you can bend the plastic enough to reach inside. Unplug the harness and then there are 2 bolts that will let the light fall out the front.

Looks good I need to do mine now.

CakeDaddy,

I found this to be very interesting and informative. I have always heard about headlight restoration, but actually seeing the process done was amazing. It looks like a brand new replacement on that Taurus. There are so many vehicles out there with ugly yellow headlights that could benefit from this. I just might try this on my Y34 after looking at other people's pics lately and their headlights look so crystal clear, and I notice mine are starting to develop a slight haze on the upper sections (probably from sun exposure).

Anyway, thanks for posting the info!
