I found that noise is directly correlated to the tread pattern and types of road surfaces... a tire that is quiet on asphalt might "scream" on concrete pavement.
I think Tire Rack also displays noise ratings in their reviews, but there is a huge difference, depending on brand and type (All Season versus Summer, etc.) Falken's are noisy; many of the aftermarket Korean tires are.
Michelin, Goodyear, Yokohamas and most Bridgestones will provide a quieter ride. Maybe your tire retailer will swap these out for you?
