Finally got the motor in today. Got it comp tested and now we're gonna start the teardown. Still uncertain what mods I want to do but I want to make 300-400rwhp. I have been playing the background and studying up. Is it true I should be able to do 3-350rwhp without fixing the oil pickup problem? Any advice? Ill post some pics by this time tomorrow...

Nice. I recommend using a better camera. I'm pretty sure its off of a cell phone.

Do yourself a favor and buy a overhaul gasket it. You WILL need it regardless.

300 and 400whp goal is a big difference. 300 can be done with very little mods. im pretty close to that stock. i think with a new tune on racegas i can get 300whp. 400 would require turbo upgrade, and supporting mods.

update: cant finish the swap til i grab an engine stand. so... in the meantime we're detailing the motor ill post some pics once its all back together.

Also, i think im just gonna stick with the stock turbo for now. it has no shaft play and spins smoothly/freely. that will save me considerable downtime. hope to have the motor in during september we'll see

Looks good. Depending on your fan setup, you might want to get a different high pressure power steering line that faces towards the back of the engine.

What did you do to the intake manifold and intake pipe that crosses over? Sand blast?

Engine's lookin' good, huge improvement!

Btw, I'm running the r32 crossmember and I'm extremely happy with it...only requires a little bit of trimming the hood skeleton above the timing belt cover so that the hood closes.

Good luck...keep us updated!

the mounts just suck. they don't fit that great, i still had to beat in the firewall for my 20 swap and overall its cheaper for the xmember and its oem strong parts. for the price... not worth it.

Slapped the belts on today. I used the NAPA belt numbers listed on here

alt- 040335 good! 15 bucks!p/s- 040372 good! 17bucks!

Oh the part numbers have a "k" in front of them.

Here's the pics of the install....

Almost done. Just need to clean the block down and check for leaks (i think she needs a new oil pan )

Not much after that.
