as a owner of a hatch for 4 years, the s14 is just not the same. its a nice car, but its not as sexy as a hatch , imo. would you guys go for a s13 coupe (one came up for sale locally) if it was in good condition, and be content with just having another s13.... or would you hold out and wait for a hatch? guys who have both i would love your opinion. thanks!

ive wanted a s14 kouki for so damn long, but when i drove my buddy's i was set on s13's. dunno why but the s14 seems smaller inside.i have two hatches at the moment, and i would rather have a s13 coupe over two hatches. IMO i would get the coupe.

Honestly I love both, I can't decide which I like better. I love driving the coupe better than the hatch and I love it with the silvia face. But the hatch I love the shape of it and that fact that I can fit so much crap in it that its really usefully to the point that I usually don't need a truck to transport parts.

I wouldn't give up either one.

I've owned a S13 coupe, 2 Zenki S14's, and now a hatch. I've come to find out that I'll love the one I have, but lust over the ones that I don't have. Like the Kouki S14 . Can't go wrong with either one though.

i dont lust for the kouki for some reason, but i do have that envy for a few other nissans... id love to get a z31, z32 as well as another pulsar i just never was a coupe person, but being a s13 maybe it will put me back in that "home" feeling.

Depending on whats been done... The coupe can POSSIBLY look better than the hatch. Even with the silvia front end conversion, the S15 conversion on a hatch is FAR sexier than any coupe could ever be... Sry tramp.

i do have two, but for the reasons i stated above. ive been in hatches, ive driven hatches. it just isnt as good.

plus, in the event of a roll over, i bet a hatch'll cruuuuuuuuuuush.

i dont really like s15 fronts on s13s. or s14s for that matter. and i actually prefer a silvia front on a hatch.

alas, my statement stands. rigid and lightweight. valid points.

Tru tru... But i prefer the silvia on the coupe, but it looks good on the hatch as well, I just prefer the S15 on the hatch.

Well first i wanted a hatch the most JUST cause of the kouki tail lights.. just for that and plus i was never much of a silvia front end fan but once i kept seeing coupes the more i love them im guessing it might be the same for coupe to hatch? But then again hatch = more space

^ that wasnt too long ago. i feel the same. s14 just isnt a hatch. and i agree with the s15 front on a s13 hatch looking good, but i love em best chuki and stock. ive just noticed that coupe lovers are just as biased as hatch owners. i would also trade my s14 for a hatch if the deal was the same. as far as vert goes, i would go hatch>vert>s14>coupe>anything piggy :P

my s14 has 300z brakes all the way around, 5 lug, se wheels, vlsd and 5 speed.. but has body damage and needs paint and im trading it straigh up for an hatch.

well im on hatch number 2 right now, me personally i like the looks of a hatchback over a coupe more. i plan on buying another 240 this fall and have been considering getting a coupe or if i can find a clean vert to change it up. no offense but me personally im not a big fan of the 95-96 zenki's. ive always kinda thought they looked a bit like maximas

when i was looking to buy a car i was DEAD set on getting a s13 hatch. loved the shape, design and look of it. however the plan was interrupted when i found a clean s14 zenki for sale for cheaper than the hatch which i was gonna buy. i was a little, just a teeny bit sad i couldn't get a s13 hatch (mainly b/c i wanted the pop up lights and i love the hatch taillights) but a year and half later i would never sell my s14 for a s13 period. however, i would love to have a s13 hatch as a 2nd/daily driver that would be really sweet and best of both worlds.

i never really like s13 coupes, the pop up doesn't go with the coupe design but if you put sil front on it i think it looks pretty hot.

anyway, if i were you i would wait for a hatch. i'm sure if your s14 was in cleaner condition you would never ditch ur s14 for a s13.
