I'm sorry I don't know a whole lot about cars, but will this modify the sound of the sedan to sound like the coupes?

Yes on the 03-06 models...

It accually makes them a little louder than the stock sedans.

Figures. I paid about $300 from a dealer last Saturday. And it's here in Georgia, too.

Oh well. For the benefit of the others here. It takes about an hour to switch out the stock unit; half of that time is just getting the car up in the air. It's a little louder than stock, but not objectionable at all, I like it. I did it for gas milage purposes, I don't know yet if it helped.

I added an 05 Coupe mid-pipe to my 05 Sedan.I paid a total of $120 to get one from CA.

It increased the sound slightly, which I really liked, plus it gave me at least 1 MPG more.

Fairly ez to install. I bought a new front gasket from my local Nissan dealer for $9 and reused to rear doughnut gasket torquing it down 5 pounds more than spec to ensure a good seal.

On my 05, I removed the cross bar You can see it in this pic. The G35C mid pipe curves up and slightly touches it. Others have bent it. I just removed it...saves weight too!

Sedan vs Coupe

Here's what it sounded like on my Sedanhttp://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIF-GD-WaH8

YOu know what is really funny... I took mine from a 04 coupe... well the resignator is much smaller than the one you show in that picture lol.

but mine is about 1/4th of the size of the sedan original

thats two pics he stuck together there...not side by side.

thats the reason that it seems like the resonator is big.

Yes, I took two pics and tried to sized them the same, but you can see the top one (coupe) is a little bit longer. It was to give you a ball park size difference. Coupe is much smaller than the Sedan and lighter.

You can also tell that they are BENT slightly different. The pipe to the left of the resonator on the Coupe extends up more and this is why it touches the cross-bar.

Don't be afraid to try it, its just a couple bolts and a switcheroo. Worst case you get a local shop to install for like $50, b/c thats good price on coupe mid pipe

This may be interesting for anyone considering the coupe mid pipe...

SVT has done a great job of getting the pics for comparison, however, funny thing is, I think the resonator on the 1st gen sedan's is even larger than the one depicted above, I'm talking several feet long, by at least 1 1/2 foot across...

It's possible that the first gen sedans will see the greatest improvement in sound, and MPG improvements.... I easily gained 2-3mpg and great sounds now.

A side note:

I was looking to buy a coupe mid pipe, but realized it's part of the new Greddy EVO 2 exhaust I installed, so yeah, I'm glad I never ordered one...

I'm planning to swap the Y pipe for the stillen setup with HFCats
