Hi, I was changing the gear oil out of my transmission from my 240sx and stuck on the drain plug was 4 sliver half circle metal pieces. I am guessing this came off of a bearing. The car still drives fine right now. I guess my question is, Is there any way for a bearing to be missing these pieces and still function for a long time? Thanks for any help you can give me.

Those 4 half circles could of been 2 hole circles...But I would rock it untill the trans gets into trouble.

But do what you think is best. Go to your local shop and ask them. They would know.

There is always going to be some metal in the trans. There is so much metal on metal contact that it's unavoidable. Just keep an ear out for strange noises or odd shifting.
