Any news on the 02-06 2.5 gens?

This is my next priority (as getting a 240SX seems near impossible unless I pull one of the ricers off the street and force them to pop their hood).

One of my family members has this gen and engine. I'll take a look and have something together in a week or two.

I personally don't understand it. Getting and S chassis, maxima, or older Altima is nearly impossible.

I'll check that 240 thread again and see what happened to everybody.

Hi Alvin,

No, what you read is NOT true. Everybody's got an opinion and everybody's got a butt...lol

The 2.5 Altima CVT should see improvements in throttle response, fuel economy, and useable power. There are NO claims of it increasing power, just that is allows you to keep the CVT in the powerband versus it shifting early.

Typical fuel economy increase is 2-3 mpg. One 3.5 A/C got 6mpg (better than EPA estimate).

I can get a 2.5 kit up to you for about $65ish.

Hey i received my x err number wire show kit. the installation is incredibly easy and the quality of materials was definitely worth it. All of my electronics are most certainly running better than before. I have a manual but can definitely see how this could improve an automatic.

I'm sorry bro. I feel like one of those horrible companies that keeps puting off completion dates.

This WILL get made. However, it hasn't been. I could go into song and dance for the next 2 hours explaining why it hasn't gotten done yet, but I'll spare you the details.

Got the kit last week and installed on the weekend... spent about 2 hours installing, but this is because I'm a noob and it was my first time working under the hood. I think for an experienced people, installation won't take more than 30 minutes, very easy to install, and very clear instruction.

One thing I definitely noticed is the CVT shifting is smoother than before, and my stereo's bass is louder when listening to the radio. I've yet to confirm that if my mileage improves

=======================================================
Now I confirm that the gas mileage improves too!! Oh my, these 5 little wires are amazing.

Oh also notice that my aftermarket HID light reaches full brightness alot faster!

Just posted up a thead in the Sentra forum to gauge interest. If we can get a dozen or so people, I'll find a local Sentra owner and do some testing. It would be awesome if we could gain a few MPG on the Sentra too!!!

Won't happen unless you can find me a local Trailblazer for measurement/testing. Are you on any Chevy Trailblazer forums? If you want to set something up, then I'm game.

Sorry that this has taken so long. I'm still finalizing the grounding points. I really don't want to guess and send something 10k+ miles away that won't work properly.

The grounding kit does not include the alternator to positive as this is not a ground.

I do offer a Big 3 kit with that wire.

duhh - you got me there on the grounding kit not including a positive wire.

My initial goal was just to do the big three. After everyone's glowing reviews I want both. If you added the one wire to the grounding kit, that would cover the big three, correct. How much for that?

Hey Bryan,

Sorry for the delay. I should have put a hold on taking any orders this month. We're in the process of moving into our new place and everything is a mess. Couple that with my 6 month old son going ballistic yesterday and screaming his head off at the slightest sound and it wasn't a pretty weekend.

Good news is that your shipping label is printed and your kit was mostly assembled last night (still need to add the replacement hardware and shrink tube the terminals). Bad news is that it won't go to the post office until tomorrow.

Oh a highlight, it looks gorgeous

Technically, yes. The big 3 is covered by the grounding kit and that 1 positive wire. If you're going to be pushing super high current and plan on going aftermarket on the alternator, then I'd suggest buying the complete big 3 AND the grounding kit as the Big 3 has 1/0 wires and an in-line fuse.

Price for both is around $72 shipped (in 4 gauge).
