ok guys so many of you have at least glanced at my other thread about painting the stock 7 spoke rims of of the s13. sooooo after finishing my spare last week and really liking the results i decided to go ahead with it.

please excuse the cell picsSupplies

Flying Car

Sanding Commenses with 80 grit sandpaper on the orbital

Tight spaces being taken care of by my buddy mike with a drill with a metal brush bit

we did one in gunmetal

Back to the Gold

finished 2

so as it stands right now i have 3 stock rims gold and one spare stock gold, i also have the one i tried in gunmetal. tomorro i will post pics with the gold on the car!! hope you enjoy and ask questions if u have them.

that's a clean wheel design, it will look really good on a slammed s13/s14. Good job!

Looks great. Im a sucker for gold wheels anyways. I really like how you left the Nissan symbol unpainted. Is the car going to stay that color because the gold matches really good.

Looks great. I am thinking about doing this my self. Darker bronze or gold. Yours came out great though.

that was kind of a jackoff thing to say..... is it your car? does it affect you in anyway? Are you a real drifter/tuner? are you leonardo dicaprio's gay lover? do you like getting spanked with tuna fish?? it seems like it to me.

OMG,,, are you the guy I talked to at Batteries Plus today???

Because I knew I have seen this car somewhere, when I pulled into the parking lot. Guess where? NICO I didn't notice that u were from Chicago Ridge until now. I'm at Worth IL, Southwest Hwy and Harlem Ave, If your familiar with this area.

Just few days ago I seen a black Pignose hatch looked like it had FMIC around Roberts Rd and Archer Ave around Bedford Park. Looks like there is a lot of S13 and S14 around here but in hiding like endangered species.

I would have slit my wrists if I had to do all that. Working on my car, I have disliked any kind of body work, or prep work for paint and such.

A drop and tire clean up would definitely make it look 10 times better.

I'm glad that you actually broke the tire bead to paint the wheels unlike some people that do this halfa$$

Here is mine not much on outside except S13 front and 17" Work Rezax I, sitin on Tein HE's and Q45 VLSD with 5 lug. STILL WAITING ON THIS GUY TO PAINT HER FOR ME >>>>>BLACK COLOR<<<<<zerothread?id=340227

some other pics: possible power plant '95 KA24DE or maybe Rb20DET clip not sure some other pics

Sorry if I thread jack of weave off topic, just showing some local love

Ho yeah negative comment are G@Y, especially when hard work was put in, unless it's some thing really G@Y and useles from EBAY>

Oh yeah thanks for the help with the OPTIMA RED TOP>

Honestly i like it so much that i may do this temporarily. Did you wet sand it after one coat and then spray the gold again or no?

yes i am the guy u talked to today in batteries plus!not a prob with the optima, that thing will outlive most of the car parts u have on there.

no wet sand, just initial sanding, then cleaned with denatured alcohol, then spray 3 coats gold(at about 5 min intervals) and then 2 coats clear gloss(about 5 mins in between each coat)then just wait at least overnight to dry and there u have it, awesome stock rims at the cost of about 25 bucks
