ECU swap to remove Governor!

I have read that by switching to an AuTO ECU and removing your 5spd out on KA24DE the governor will be taken off.

I know it works on s13 DE's

Will this, or has anyone tried this on a S14??Its the same DE as s13 Twincam so it should work right??

You can also just disconnect the sensors in the transmission for 4th and 5th gear that actually activate the governor. just check the factory service manual to figure out which ones they are.

All the does is kill the rev limiter , not the speed gov. And if you get a auto ecu get used to it throwing codes.

thats true you have to cut #32 wire that goes to the ECU.

which kind of codes do you mean like engine light..ectect??

i read other members have done it.I wonder,do they have any problem on the long run? idle? gas mileage? drivability??

yes i have a auto ecu in mine. i have a 95 so it remove all the extra evap sh1t on the 96. my car tops out at 149 now not 115. it runs perfect too
