When I was a kid I used to get the old rubbing alcy on a cloth to lower my fever, but throwing it in a bath would be kinda silly since you are using less than 1% solution when poured into a bathtub... I'm just sayin'

meh, i've always associated it more with the addition of the alcohol into the steam of the hot bath, but whatever. won't stop me from doing it. whenever my cousins or i had a bloody nose, my grandma used to have us lie on the couch, head back, and place a penny on our forehead. looking back, we could have choked on our own blood, but that was her old school remedy. to cure hiccups, we used to put a pencil in our mouth sideways and drink water. never failed to work.
