my right one goes up but it doesnt go back down........can i fix it, or do i need a new one?

well do i need the whole assembly or just the motor for that problem?

no, just the motor. As a first step i would check the relay for that side. the relays are located under the hood in the black box near the right front of the car. swap the left relay with the right one. if thats not the problem, you have a bad motor. im not exactly shure what you are refering to when you say the "assembly", but if you mean the housing that holds the headlight, that does not need to be replaced. there is a small ball joint on a rod that is connected from the headlight housing to the motor. pop the ball joint off, disconnect the plug from the harness, and simply unbult the motor. (P.S. it is VERY unlikely but there may be a wireing problem so if your up to it just glance over the wire harness to make shure there are no spots that are crimped or damaged.

let me know what you come up with.

alright, i checked the relays and still the same thing happens.......so i guess ill be needing that motor.

would $20 shipped be good?

before you play with the wiring it may just be something as easy as the motor being jammed. Happened to mine. Left light was stuck but right light went up and down. Pop your hood and play with the manuel controller for the light(the big nob that spins) and it may be all good hopefully!!!

swap out your Combination switch .... or clean it i just replaced it and viola...
