seems like it makes sense. normally lets say the spark plug output is 50w spark, because thats what is supplied through the wires. stick a capacitor in there so that it can charge 500w and discharge when the plug fires next. there isnt a constant spark from the spark plugs anyways, its the general nature of it - it pulses sparks. im not sure how they set up the circuit to have the cap discharge to keep in with the engine timing, but theoretically you would have an incredibly stronger spark. whether having a stronger spark actually makes any difference..... well i cant argue about that, i have no clue
edit: well actually thinking about it, current is only getting to the spark plug when the distributor rotor comes to that wire right, its not like there is constant current on the spark plug wires. then in that case this doesnt really do much as far as power output...... i dont think
