Well, After putting this off all winter the rain season is coming. I finally got around to installing the blower motor back into my car. Figures I wait till after winter....

The AC is gone due to the SR swap but boo hoo, I only want it for a defroster. I ended up installing the cooling unit before the blower motor. BIG MISTAKE, The blower HAS to go in first. I also had to fix a good bit of the wiring from the last owner of the car. God knows what they were thinking with the wiring of this car.

Another problem with mine was that the padding around the cooling unit was worn off. It caused a lot of the air to leak out, So anything from the vents was weak. This was a simple fix using some of the carpet from the door panel.

If anyone needs any help installing theirs just ask and I can pretty much walk you threw what needs to be done.

Then the control unit I had to re pin.

Everything works fine now, I wish I would of done it sooner, Heat would of been nice when it was 38 out side.

Thanks man, It wasn't to bad to fix the pins. The connectors had maybe 3 wires in them and all the rest were just hanging around. When you have the FSM to go off of its just find the wire and shove in the hole.

My door panel is leather. It was coming off so I just pulled it off. Im debating on going back to leather or going to something else.

do you have a wiring diagram for all of the blue wires (the ones you have taped up in your pic) i got my s14 and the previous owner tinkered with them and left them a mess.

Anyone know how to take that POS out properly? I broke some things when I tried to take it out last time.

The cooling unit has to come out first. Then you remove the blower motor. Even still its a very tight fit. If you still have AC installed you have to vent the system before you can remove the cooling unit. Removal should go in this order..

If installed evacuate the AC system, Then remove the two hardlines that run into the back of the cooling unit. Drop the glove box and remove all the connectors on both the blower motor and cooling unit. Loosen the bolts on the blower motor, DO NOT remove them all the way. Un bolt the cooling unit,

It might be a ***** to remove. You have to wiggle it out of place and line it up right so the hard line can slip thew the firewall. Once you removed the cooling unit the blower motor should drop out easily.

Now to remove the vent control box is a whole new ball game. Thats dash removal time.

It's a bit large for email, 33meg when compressed with WINRAR.

Nico has them hosted, http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/

Gmail used to send out big files, But now it just locks up for me. The ones that are hosted on nico are the same thing as mine though.
