Help! When i press the brake, should dash lights go on?

Ok, i was messing around with the car this afternoon and i pressed the brake on accident. I noticed that my dash lights came on when i pressed the brake pedal.I got out the car and pressed it again, i saw that my parking lights go on as well. I checked all the fuses, looked for loose connections but to no avail.i searched this problem but no help. Noob here, and im asking for help.

thats weird. i would start with cleaning and checking all bulb connections. pull them out, wire brush them, and put some di-electric grease in them. did this problem just start, or been doing it as long as you have owned it?

Ive only owned the car for two months now, i've been restoring and cleaning it so far. the problem happened today when i was putting in new radio brackets. i tapped the brake and my dash lights went on, along with the door chime (door was open at the time) and my parking lights.

hmm..Possibly a ground around around that area?...I've never ran into this problem myself

yes my car is green, i found the problem... recently one of my tail lights burnt out so my bro got it replaced...... he put the wrong type of bulb in the socket.

1156 instead of 1157
