No Hose on EGR Valve.

While removing my fuel rail to clean the injector I found that the egr was not hook up there was nothing there,(see Red arrow). With the car on I put my finger in both holes and didn't feel nothing no air or vacum even while give gas didn't feel nothing,are they both bad or have they been bypass.

mine was somewhat the same thing. its because exhaust travels through that hose and the hose is not reinforced (more like a vacuum hose). mine ruptured and it gave me a egr code. it idles fine and everything but when the egr kicks in you can smell the exhaust. so i went to buy a reinforced hose and installed it. now no more code.

it idles fine because egr don't kick in on idle thats why you don't feel any air/vacuum. egr mostly kick in on cruise

I don't get any code,the only code i get it's the knock sensor,over and over,going to put a hose there and see what it does,thanks

oh yeah, forgot to mention. i was getting both of those codes knock and egr. so put a hose there and hopefully thats whats causing the knock.

So I change my knock sensor yesterday,all under 30min,so check my ecu and ran the codes, the only code that pop was 55,which i think is no faulty.this happen before i did the knock sesor change,I would drive normal,and before i hit 2k the rpm needle would drop 1 bar and go back up while my foot on th gas pedal.bogg down like i complitly left go of the gas,don't know what could be wrong next should be spark plugs change wires,and clean my maf and see if that helps.don't think it could be vacum leak,it ideals rock solid.

Bring back a old thread...My car failed emissions...Specifically the Nox ppm portion...Replaced the cat last year and it passed with flying colors...now i do have a injector out at cylinder number 3 would this affect the Nox ppm? Also that hose that connects the EGRC-BPT valve to the Egr valve if its ruptured will that affect the egr? and how..what is its function? (also its the little hose that the red arrow is pointing to in the picture)

P.S i just went down stairs and test the egr by applying vaccuum to see if it would stall or stumble...Soon as i apply vacuum with the vacuum pump it stumbles but doesn't stall out...So the valve works...so does that imply that the ruptured hose is one of the problems?

if the injector is out on #3, it will affect nox because there is no fuel to cool down the combustion (maybe a lean misfire). ebpt hose to the egr is ruptured it will affect nox. i think the ebpt and egr work together. i don't know how.

yes the ruptured hose is one of the problems.
