thanks for all the pics! the last pic is definitely an ARB bumper. and the last two look like they're both getting pulled out. :D

my pathfinder is two-tone red and gray, so i'm not sure if i'm going to paint the bumper to match. ARB says it comes powder coated gray - i don't think it would contrast too much...

Did you know that the ARB has 2 new tow points on it? The stock hooks are removed when you put it on and the points on the ARB are much sturdier than the stock ones. I've had to use them a few times.

thanks for the info! the website was a bit confusing. they were listed as utilizing OE tow points, but i guess they meant they're just roughly in the same position...

so you have the ARB bumper? can you post pics?

Yep the one with the snow above is mine. I have a ton of pictures of mine with the bumper but I found a few to show you how things to together. It's really hard to find much of any information on it for being a $1000+ bumper. The mounting brackets are much more complex than on the non-Sahara series ARBs. Probably due to being airbag compliant.

Can you tell me what kind of lift you have? What did you do to the plastic skirt under your fenders when you installed bigger wheels? Did you trim them? take them out? I can't tell, is that a solid front axle? what mods did you make to get it in? Are those 35" tires? My new 31's are rubbing that plastic skirt I mentioned earlier and my mud flaps.

Slow down Skippy. That was an old picture of Tylers R50 when he had the AC 2" lift plus about 4" of a custom subframe drop lift thta he built. Yes those are 35's & yes you can just take off the the plastic skirt & mud flaps. I have taken off my fender flares, mud flaps & all of the plastic pieces that came stock in the wheel well. It would probably be just as easy for you to trip the little bit of the inner plastic thats rubbing as apposed to completely removing it like I did.

BTW Tylers new suspension set up is a solid front axle & full hyrdo steering. Badassness...

Here's one

I just typed in "ARB Sahara Bar" into Yahoo and then hit the images link. It isn't a bad looking bar.

Don't mind the steering wheel, I think the PF is from Austarila.

Probably...I think it came from their website. I was merely trying to show the OP that pictures are out there, you just have to be creative to find them.

Regardless, the bar looks really nice when painted to match the truck.

The worst thing about the pathy in the ARB catalouge is that it is the pussiest lookin car in the whole magazine. every other car has insane lifts and snorkles and such...dissapointed in ARB

That could mean several things...

1. The PF (R50) is such a capable off-roading monster that it doesn't need help from a lift or huge tires or a snorkle.

2. There are so few parts available for the PF (R50) that it is incredibly hard to find them and once you do, they are stupid expensive, and even then, there isn't any selection...you either do or don't go with that part.

3. PF (R50) owners will never find themselves in need of larger tires or lifts or snorkles because they will seldom venture far from road (dirt or pavement), thus rendering large tires and suspension lifts useless. The only thing they woud do is eat more gas and we all know how well the PF likes to eat gas.

1. R50's are mules true, but if you are talking about some real offroading & not trail riding then yes it does need help. I've wheeled the hell outta mine for the last 8 or 9 years (stock & modified) & it needs more than just street tires & a ton of gas. Theres only a couple of vehicles that have come out in the last 10 or so years that are trail ready from the factory & R50's are not one of them. And yes the pic in ARB's catalog makes R50 owners look like a$$

2. True there are few parts commercially available for R50 but with a bit of inginuity (spelling?) & imagination you can fab up or modify just about anything you could ever want. Plus if you know the right people or if you are the right people then its not expensive.

3. Wrong again. There are those of us that beat the hell outta our R50's & trust me I've wheeled with it being everywhere from completely stock with street tires to it's current state. With that being said the extra couple of inches because of a lift & bigger tires & because of the capability of better offroad or mud tires I've been able to get out of situations that I've seen many other people (with what should be more capable rigs) get hung up on. On the flip side if I would've had a snorkel back in Sept I wouldn't have destroyed an engine & if I had air lockers (both of which are on the "to-do" list) then I wouldn't have to hit the gas so much while rock crawling & could save on body/suspension damage. And yes, if you are gonna wheel the correct tires & mods are essential & needed, not just the love of your stock ride

Doesn't look like they make one for 97...

I'm sure if your clever enough, you can get it to work.

The 99.5-04 ARB bumpers will work just fine. there will be about a 1" gap you you don't really notice unless you specifically point it out

well in that case I will probably save up for one because i really like the idea of it and extra clearance for the front tires. Don't think it would look too bad on my rig either...

so does any body know where to get a lift bigger than the 2" ac lift that they sell on 4x4parts or are all of them custom made after 2" or does any one know of someone that might be able to make one
