I am looking for a good camera mount to set up inside the car for those times when I go on canyon runs. Anyone know of any good, easy to set-up, camera mounts?

BTW... It's for a digital camera.

They way I've seen a few setups is people mount the camera to their tripod, then they just strap it down to the back seats and front seats, like wrap them to make sure their stable.

If you have a cage just find the right thread pitch bolt and weld on a tab or figure out a way you can get some type of a bar from drivers head rest to the pass headrest drill a hole in the middle and feed the bolt through a washer in between camera and bar. and you are set. Done and done!

Take a steel bar, drill two holes about the width of the head rest posts, mount bar on the head rest and push it down (you find the right length obviously), make sure the end sits right between you and passenger, mount camera to that bar. If you are really anal you can throw some rubber bushings on the head rest posts to help stabilize the camera mount.

At SEMA this last year, there was a booth a couple down from us that had some awesome little cameras that came with a lot of different mounts and they where only about 1.5" tall, 2" wide, and .75" thick. They came in waterproof cases. Had 2gig cards in them and did a decent FPS. They only ran like $135 each!!! I just cant remember what the company was freaking called! Its been ticking me off for a couple months now. I need to go back and get a floor plan :D.

I want to buy a suction cup for my outter window but they're $100 some bucks. I just use electrical tape to tape my camera to my rear view... Didn't work too bad besides the point that it was really dark.

LOL, yea, I know. it was partially caused by crappy tires and the other part was just bad driving
