I just installed the Tanabe springs and I took the car for a spin - what an improvement in handling!
Here is an update and some more details for installing the springs:- there is no bump rubber on 08 SL (maybe there is one on a 07 as Tanabe suggested to cut it)- for rear springs, the jack stands should be placed where the normal car jack is used, not on the bar that connects the wheel. This way someone can push the wheel and pull the spring out without compressing it with a spring compressor- for front springs, in order to remove the strut, you have to remove the 3 screws on the top; unfortunately, the third one is hidden and unless you have a special tool, you need to remove the windshield wipers and the plastic piece inside the engine bay that covers the bottom of the windshield- to remove the top screw on the strut (for removing the old spring), you need to keep the strut axe from spinning while unscrewing. I used a plumbing wrench on the rubber that surrouns the axe, but it was difficult.
