Oh no! Say it isn't so! I just bought a 2006 M45 and was driving home and was like WTF? Where am I? Then realized the Nav was not showing Hawaii. Any luck? I hear of a version 8.0 Disc that is suppose to be out for Nissans that include Hawaii but don't think it really exists: http://www.zenrin.com/nissanusa/whyUpdate.asptomosawa wrote:My 2007 M45 Sport is equipped with the GPS Navigation system, but living here in Hawaii, the disc has no map for Hawaii. Checked the Zenrin website to see if they had an updated version of the disc; but still no map of Hawaii. Is there any GPS disc that has a map of Hawaii that is compatible with my Navigation system, or am I out of luck??? Any help would be appreciated.
Ok, zenrin replied to me. They do not have any DVD that will work with my "2006" M45, and there is no plans to make one. Basically they said it not their decision. Unless Nissan Motor Corp USA tells them to make it, they will not make one. The 2007 model has one...WTF? That is so unfair.tomosawa wrote:Unfortunately, I think we here in Hawaii is out of luck! Can't understand why Hawaii is always left out or the last to get anything! It's frustrating! I've contacted Zenrin (the makers of the GPS disc that our cars use) and just waiting for their response. I really hope that they finally update their database to include Hawaii!
Tell me about it! And to think I was debating between this and the Lexus GS450 and chose this car thinking it had more options! At least the Navi worked in hawaii on the Lexus. So did my former cars Audi, Mercedes. But of course i'm still glad I got the M45, its a dam nice car and turns some heads.tomosawa wrote:Definitely, Maui has less roads than Oahu. But the real issue for me is more of why Hawaii doesn't have a map that works in our nav system! All stand alone GPS systems (Magellan, Tom Tom, etc.) all work in Hawaii!
Lets do it! I just sent an email from the website, next stop write a letter!tomosawa wrote:I got the same response from Zenrin. I'm "all in" for writing to Nissan to get Hawaii on the map!!! BTW, the '08 G37's navigation system has a map for Hawaii. The dealer told me that the new G uses a different nav system than the ones in our M's!
The latest model Lexus (generation 5 systems) now include Hawaii on their newest map discs, version 7.1.Hawaiiannights wrote:

Unfortunately that 8.0 is not a disc-based navigation system, but a hard drive based navigation system. I pm-ed you about the 7.3, but it looks like it's no use to you since you're in Hawaii!Hawaiiannights wrote:
