I hate it.

I don't know how many of you read about my problems last week, but I came to the conclusion the inhibitor switch line was grounding somewhere since I switched to 5spd and it was no longer hooked up. I couldn't find where so I ran a new wire straight from the starter to my push button starter completely bypassing whatever the problem was. Car was fixed! Drove it all around Clearwater, drove it back to Gainesville (about 2.5 hours away) drove it all over yesterday. This morning I get in to go to work and make it about 3 buildings away in my apartment complex and it pops the same ****ing fuse.

damn bro i have no idea what ur talking about but it sucks. i guess that's the risk you take when you change anything on ur car to something it didn't come with originally. but don't give up now man you've done so much to it. whatever it costs get it fixed and enjoy ur car once again.

That's exactly what I want to see this car do right now. I guess I should go check on it but I'm very angry at it. I got my gf to drive me to work, I jumped the fuseable link with a wire so I could set my alarm and I left it. Maybe I'll walk over there and find a charred mess.

It's dead to me right now.

So I went out and unwrapped the wires and connections on my engine harness in the engine bay. Saw some quesitonable things, but spread them all out to make sure no one was touching each other. Turned the car to on, relay buzzed, wires heated up. wraped all the connections and tried again. Still buzzed.

Loomed all the wires in electrical tape, packed up my stuff still angry at the car. Decided to give it one last try for giggles, relay doesn't buzz.

!?

Put a fuse in and cross my fingers and turn to on...doesn't pop the fuse. Start the car and woo! So I parked it back in front of my apartment.

Magic? Probably.

Don't know how it got fixed but now I'm afraid to drive it because I was fortunate enough this time to die in my complex...next time I could be in the middle of town and I'll have no way to get it back over here.

Carry a lot of fuses, and pray.

Those bishez are $3 a piece, and when they pop, they pop instantly when the key is turned to "ON". Eleventy billion fuses wouldn't help me in this situation!

I can jump it with a heavy gauge wire but that'll start fires lol.

which inhibitor wire? The two heavy gauge ones? Check the b/y wire coming off the starter and see if its grounded(shouldn't be)

It can't be grounded, I cut it off the ignition switch and pulled it off the starter and ran my own wire lol. That made it work for 1.5 days before it crapped out on me again.

i saw take the fuse out and hardwire it, the worse thing that can happen is the lites on fire and then you still win.
