My 240 VERT build

Hey guys and gals, About 4 months ago I purchased a 1993 Nissan 240SX Convertible Limited Edition. It's been alot of fun to build so far. I'll post pictures later. As for now, I have alot of needs. I live in Jacksonville Florida. I'm planning on posting pictures of the crap I need. Right now, the last body pieces I need are S13 Silvia Fenders. I am going to need to enterior pieces.

Here's a question to fill some time while I have pictures made.

I'm converting the car to 5spd. Since the car has to be in park for the top to come down. what do I do wen I convert it to 5spd. Is there a trick that I don't know about tricking the ECU into thinking you're in park or do you disable that fe4ature altogether. I have NO clue what so ever. please let me know something. Thanks!

wow... I guess people aren't nice on any forums... when people need help give them help without mean critisism. Some of that stuff in the sticky doesn't help me. I will post pics soon. I work 3 jobs and having time doesn't come around often. the animation is funny as hell. but seriously some of those sticky's don't help me AT ALL and the search is alright. it's not the most reliable resource. IMO.

Yes, these smileys are some of the best on the intrawebnets.

We're really not mean, but you need to understand, 95% of the people who come into the vert forum as n00bs ask generalized questions related to the 5-speed swap. We have FAQ's and stickies in this forum that will tell you what you need to do for the 5-speed swap.

If you don't like our stickes then there's nothing much we can do to help you. All of the knowledge that we know about these cars was put into those stickes.

ok douche bags. I re-read some of the sticky's and searched some more. and I found pretty much everything I need to know. and then some. I'm sorry for being a douch bag myself and getting pissy when i couldn't find what I wanted. I'm just a tiny bit spoled. thanks to everyone (even meanies) that tried to get sense into me. i'm finding alot more than i found before. and It's helping me alot. so I'm off to bed now it's 3:00am where I'm at and I gotta throw down on the car build tomorrow. I will post pics and possibly how to's so I don't cry later about what this forum doesn't have. lol. LATER

You didn't find the information you were looking for because you obviously didn't spend enough time actually browsing the sticky thread.

We see questions like this often, especially when there's a wave of newbies, so we get tired of people not finding the information that's clearly laid out. You'll get pissy with n00bs too when you've been here a while and see it from our side.

After the 5-speed swap thread was posted for you TWICE, you finally took the time to read through it and see that it DID have all the information you needed. You're welcome.

wow, it's a good thing I wasn't this big of a baby 5 years ago when there were NO guides like that, and I had to sift through what little info and more mis-info there was out there to do my 5 speed swap.

I swear to god, people want stuff spoon fed to them anymore. Those guides have EVERYTHING you need to swap it short of holding the daggum wrenches for you. I hate to come off as an old fart, but if you don't have the time to devote to researching about your car, then you should ask yourself, do you really have the time to take care of it?

sorry, but I don't take kindly to some newb calling people who have put ALOT of time and care into creating these guides douchebags.

Haha, this guy is my uncle, how he got the name to certain friends that i have, hahaha, and for you to write that made me cry i was laughing so hard. Very random he is, and to top that, his sense of humor can be very sarcastic. relatively nice guy is true too.

Actually, I have flat feet, so they always hurt a little and I like to take a bath and soak the dogs.... true story, especially when you have size 13 plywood sheets attatched to your lower leg.
