Yeah, but you have to realize most shops have a 1 hour minimum charge. So their labor rate was probably $75 - $80/hr or so. It probably took more time just to pull the car in and set it up on the lift than it did to do the work on the car. It just wouldn't be worth their time to only charge you $30racebuilt wrote:nice... good deal. at least you didnt get **** over. i did once at a machine shop. 80 bucks just to ****ing cut off the resonator and put a straight pipe on which was the same length of the resonator... and it was nothing to fancy..
the gauges match my dash cluster and its not like they were cheap, besides i don't think you would get the same look out of lexan. this wont crack or give me any issuesrico05 wrote:That is silly. $6 in lexan and a can of Krylon gloss and some patience could have produced the same effect. It does look good though. Now, just to get some better gauges...
read the descriptions i took it to a machine shop and yes the brackest hold them in.sr20power wrote:cool, very nice. I'm about to do the same in my car. The metal bracket is what's holding in the gauges, right? did you fab that up or bought it somewhere?
