ok i have been through tons of pictures threads here and on zilvia. looking for what need to be done to fit 17x9 +15 offset on my 93 240 fastback.

will i need a fender roll only. or will i need to do a pull.

can some one explain a newspaper pull. i have searched.

i am thinking 235's all the way around.

if you have followed my build you should know my cars body work isnt done yet. so i dont need to worry about paint getting messed up . doing a roll or pull if i need to

I think you can just roll. No need to pull. Minus camber and slightly stretched tires might work. You juck up the car, put stack of newspaper between fender and tire and drop the car slowly. Then you drive front and back slowly. You can shove newspaper as you roll too. I wouldn't do baseball bat, newspaper, phone books or hammer roll. Rent a roller and do it. It's pretty easy. Yeah, I was scared when I did mine, but it was way easier than I thought.

you should be ok with just a roll....you might need to pull if you really slam it

yea

i want to go about as low as i can.

i will be using PMB coiloversand PMB RUCAS.

i want to get the most grip i can. so less camber would be good.

Camber is good for grip, but not excessive camber. During hard cornering, a perfectly level wheel will not maintain maximum grip across its surface and you will get uneven wear on the outside of your tires. But there is a fine line to ride. Unnecessary camber (i.e. you don't drive aggressively at all) will cause the inside edge of your tires to wear unevenly

Depending on how you drive you may want to go with an angle of 1 to 2 degrees. If you'd like to read an, albeit really long, informative article about suspension follow this link.-fuse.

if your coilovers come with camber plates (any good coilover will) than you can

if not then youll need to buy them

if you pull your fenders the right way then theres no reason to worry about your bodywork if youre only fitting a 17x9 +15 with a 235/40, because were talking such a small pull, even with stock camber which you dont want

run your front up around -2 and rear at like -1.5 ish and youll probably need a small pull to go way low, but you shouldnt even be able to tell youve got them pulled if you do it right

hey thank you.

yea the PBM coilovers have the plate. i thought it was for camber but wasn't sure.

i went through that whole article.above and that helped some.i will need to find a good shop to do my alignment for me, and set everything up.

fora pull how do you do that.i should probably buy my new wheels and tires so i can figure out how much i will have to pull and roll before i do that paint.would you guys do a roll on the front fenders as well.

yes roll the front fenders as well and check your harness in the fender well and make sure nothing is going to rub it, and if something is make sure you secure the harness out of the way...or bad things will happen tou your car

LOL... not even remotely related to the OP's thread.

In short, YES.

BUT, you need to drill 1 more hole on the vertical side where it connects to the bumper. You also need to keep the 92 fender peice that attaches to the lower part... I mean, you don't need to, but if you dont, it'll look ugly.

Mine are 17x9 +15 F w/ 235 to give you an idea... I can fit a bit more tire and go a bit more upright (camber) though

Hope this helps

pff... to fit 17x9 +15's, you DONT need to pull. Hell, look at his fenders, he still has a good inch of fitment. He could probably fit 17x9+0 up front if he wanted to.

for reference, heres a pic of 17x9.5 +15 up front. Just your standard fender roll.
