Quote »Nissan has issued a recall for 650,000 Altimas and Sentras from model years 2002, and 2005-06. Recalled vehicles are only those equipped with Nissan’s 2.5-liter four, which may, apparently, just stop running.[/quote]I'm going to bed so I can wake up and eat, then sleep again.

We've been doing crank sensor recalls on them for years. Is this something new?

wow, now that's a name i haven't seen in ages. NISTECH.................how ya been man?

and as for QR recalls, that engine might just very well be the worst nissan engine to have been put in so many cars in the history of nissan.

It's not all bad, really. We can now say startling things like:

"Should have bought a Cobalt instead."

No. It's not FWD. It's a truck. Doesn't need to say it.It's a RWD QR.

You know, it's DAMN sad that most people misspell grammar.

The QR engines are as bad as the VQ series is good...how's that?

There have been a two major "engine go boom" recalls on the QR. Nissan still doesn't quite seem to have a handle on it.

One of my co-workers bought a Spec that lasted about 2 months before it ingested some pre-cat material. At least she got a new QR25DE that should be good for a few thousand miles.

It's almost ironic. Misspelling the word "spelling" would be perfectly ironic. The other stuff is just funny.

Also, there is going to be another announce within the next 60 days. Applicable to 07 Altimas with the 2.5 for the rattling lower cat heatshield.

wow, i guess the QR is on its way (if not already there) to being the worst nissan engine ever made. it's still weird to see that it's still very popular to see on the roads. they need to design a new 4 cylinder.
