I just bought an Injen intake for my 2007 Altima 2.5S 6-Speed and the bracket that the Vibra-Mount connects to has the clutch bleed line already screwed in there. I bought the Part # SP1974P and they only tested a CVT 2.5 S, which does not have anything on this bracket. I called Injen and I have to send my intake back so they can re-design the bracket. If you have a 2007-2008 ALTIMA 2.5S 6-SPEED and you are in the LA area call them (909-839-0706). I need my inake!

Same thing in the 08 V6 coupe but they did not mount the intake on that bracket.

Although I have never looked under the hood of a 2.5 coupe, its probably the same. Check under your hood and look at the pics I posted. If that brass connector is on the mounting bracket for the vibra-mount, it will not work. Unless you jerry rig it, and do you really want to do that with a brand new car and couple hundred dollar intake?

Hopefully they are paying for all the shipping costs.

Thanks for the warning and welcome to NICO

Wow thats crazy. R&D definately missed something big here. It happens. Glad to hear they are taking care of you. And yes, they should be liable to shipping costs. I've worked with Injen on previous fitment problems with other vehicles. Stick it to them, don't just lay down for them. Best of luck and keep us posted!

Welcome btw!!

Oh and is that my pic of the V6 version? Looks like an identical shot I took.

Yes, that is your pic. I just wanted to show that the bracket is taken up in the V6 version too. I want to know how they just assumed that bracket was empty on all 07-08 Altimas.

They probably wanted to get the product out there. As far as finding out quirks on some models thats where you come in. Unfortunately thats how some find things like this.

I have been talking to Injen. They said they dont have a 6-speed to fit the bracket and it does not seem like they are trying very hard? I called AEM, they said maybe sometime in May . BUT I called Fujita yesterday and they said their current intake is only for the CVT, but they are working on an intake for the 2.5 6-speed right NOW!
