Are you planning on doing any other types of braces for the S13? I got one of your S13 braces via another member on this site who parted out his car and must admit they are a great addition to my car. Would love to see some new innovative parts from you in the future. Definitely got me down as a future buyer.

if im not mistaken tanabe makes a rear brace for the 240sx, I know its not a big improvement to handling for the car, but would be nice if you did made one to compliment the front.

I love that brace! I have no Idea how they do it for under $400.00 though. I do have a rear strut tower bar that has just been released.

These will sell for $70.00-$75.00 I am thinking. Let me know what you guys think. Jonnie

I like that it's not a threaded/adjustable. Much more strength in your design. Seems like fair price. Is it painted or powdercoated? You might look into either purchasing, or working out something locally for powdercoating. Personally I would be more apt to pay more for a powdercoated piece.

Most of Jon's parts are painted, simply because the cost of the powder coating in this area is a bit expensive. Even if you have multiple parts to coat they still dont cut you a really good deal, which would make the cost of the part go up considerably. However I think Jon will still powder coat individual parts that you order if you pay for the extra for it.

Holy sh*t That thing looks massive! I'm actually rockin a custom fabricated rear strut bar right now, but it's weaksauce, easily bendable. If that'll fit my s13 hatch, I'll be glad to be the first to try it. Please send final price w/ shipping to Anaheim 92801. acousticnacho22@yahoo.comYour tension arm brace made a dynamic change to my cars turning. Very little body roll now. Thx.

I've been following this thread since the beginning and I am very excited about the S-14 brace. Do you have to remove subframe to install? I love my 240 but its a bit of a flexy flyer. Oh, and the price will be right I'm sure. Keep me informed @ johnnyblack5@yahoo.com

On the S14 brace you do not have to remove the subframe to install. I do recomend that you remove the tension arm brackets to do it. It is possable to do it with them in the car, but an incredible PITA to do it. Price on the S14 unit will be around $100.00 plus shipping. I am contacting some of the members who were key in pushing me to get these done. Ian check your e-mail. The rear strut bar is for an S13. I am in early production process for these. Thanks for the interest Jonnie

The only stupid question is the one not asked. The answer is no it will not interfere, because if I am right I see the bolts to one of my braces in the pics. Thanks I kinda like the strut tower bar also...I need to get in touch with Greg to see what I have to do to start selling these.

That s13 rear bar is beautiful. Good work Jonnie. I loved the tension arm brace I bought from you (but i don't have that car anymore)If someday you decide to weld a rear strut bar for s14, I know a lot of people looking for one that is sturdy. There are a lot of ebay style rear bars that go over the rear speaker deck, but they seem really wimpy and don't add any rigidity.

Well I got started installing my S14 brace tonight, it fits beautifully so far. My stock tension rod bushings are seized, so Im going to bring them into work tomorrow so I can torch them out, I should finish the install tomorrow. Also, boredom took hold of me so I decided to repaint it using a can of Ford Implement blue I had laying around. Here are a few teaser pix, I should finish my write up on Friday.
Here I have it test fitted so I can mark for the other set of holes.
Here is my buddy Cale posing for a picture, the new paint matches his shirt.

w00t, my brace is all installed, along with my new tension rods, the change is impressive. The amount of perceptible rigidity gained is awesome. The install went flawlessly, everything fit, and I had no issues lining things up.Ive spent a lot of time around caged race cars and the like. I can easily say, that as far as chassis bracing goes, besides a full roll cage, this is one of the best bang for the buck pieces I have ever installed. The level of finite control is increased without drastically effecting road noise or ride quality. Im mean this in a totally heterosexual way, Jonnie, where have you been all my life? I took over one hundred pictures and Ive gotten started on a my install write up. Its going to be very technical, I plan on hitting as many details as possible. You guys can watch for it in a few days, I will post up a link in here. Oh wth, here are a few more teaser pix. The blue paint serves two purposes, it looks bitchin, and it also helps it stand out, making the pictures more helpful for instructional purposes.

Ide like to hear a big Nico hoo-rah for Jonnie, without him, none of this would have come to fruition.
