no that will still work. but next time use a flat screw driver to pry it from the bottom (if you were the one that broke the plastic molding).

There is a small gap between the injector and the fuel rail that your supposed to pry up on with either a flathead screw driver, or something like it.

You still do a little damage to the plastic, but its pretty much the only way to pull side feeds out.

The correct way is to remove the rail and push them out from the back side.

That said, IMHO can generate more problems...the flathead screwdriver method under the bottom of the electrical connection works well. It will usually scuff the injector and aluminum base a bit, but this is only cosmetic.

The ideal tool would be a high strength resin pry bar.

Pfft thats not a good idea at all, why would you risk damaging the most important part of the injector when you dont have to? Let alone the pintle caps.

All you have to do to get the injectors out is twist the thing around so the gap that you pry against is aligned with the extra metal for the bolt hole on the fuel rail. Use a big flat head screw driver, or preferably a mini pry bar. When you twist the injector, that extra metal on the bolt hole allows you to get an extra 3/4ths inch of something to pry against. The injectors pop right out, you dont damage the plastic much at all if any, and it takes you all of 30 sec per injector.
