Wire-tracing is fun!(Not really, but it sounds like you've got a short/cross somewhere, so grab the FSM wiring diagram, a case of beer, and get crackin'?)

Check the brake light switch rubber bumper on the brake pedal assembly. Mine cracked in half and fell off.

Same thing happened to me. Luckly when i had to disconnect my battery it was pouring every day..... If you have bike parts around there is an endless amount of things to use. Thats what i did.

Pinch the rubber stopper between a pair of needle nose pliers and use a screwdriver to guide it into place...5 seconds and you're done!

sounds like a bad relay, Are you sure you replaced the right one? might also be the headlight switch.which is staying on btw the tailights or the brake lights.

brake lights

but yea we tracked the wires back, and none of the casing were rubbed through or anything and none were bare at the connectors..i'll check on the pedal assembly today..probably would have never thought about that one

Im not talking about the actual switch, which i did buy. Its a rubber stopper that looks like something you find just laying around anyways.

we were chillin tonight at our friends, i got a flashlight and looked up there, sure enough half of it was missing, he was like..oh man i thought the piece i found was garbage tracked in from outside(keeps his ride real clean like me, so i can believe it)

a nut and a bolt..no more problem

Same here the first time it happened to me i thought the pieace of rubber was a piece of garbage my shoes brought in , to find out my brake lights were on then i went to the junk yard to get a replacement and that thing only lasted two days. My solution was a bolt and nut. no more problems.

My brake and clutch rubbers both crapped out on me within a day or two of each other. I fixed the brake one right away but left the clutch one off as a ghetto anti theft device haha, but I got tired of starting my car with 2 feet so I ended up replacing it...

Mine had the rubber stopper fall out on BOTH Clutch and Brake. I pulled BOTh from my white coupe and put them on the Red.

My 91 has TWO switches on the brake and two rubber buttons. I did both and the clutch.

Positronone has the easy install method noted!
