ok guys after being asked to do this in a more proper fashion and I have my camera cables back, here you go.
tools needed: screw driver phillips head, wire strippers/cutters/crimpers, 14mm(iirc to lower steering column) socket/with ratchet& extension(s).
Step one remove kick panel on driver side, along with sill if you feel needed.Step two remove knee panel.Step three lower steering column.Step four remove bezel from around gauge cluster.Step five remove screw for cluster and pull said cluster out.Step six locate TAM on back of cluster and wire that feeds TAM( should be yellow with red stripe). Cut the TAM wire, please use common sense and leave yourself some room to work on both sides of the wire. Step seven run a single wire from the cabin to the engine bay, near your coil(ignition coil). Go ahead and attach this to the plug side of the TAM wire.Step eight cut or skin(skin will be better on stock coil IMHO) coil positive wire, and solder/butt connect in the wire you ran from cabin. Step nine shroud/protect your wire from heat/moving objects.Step ten test out the tach works.Step elleven put your car back together. And enjoy the freebie
here is a vid of the tach working(and me hitting my launch limiter )
