i just finished a 1992 ka24de swap into my pignose, 1991 wiring harness, 1992 manual ecu.

im getting power to the coil, but nothing to the distributor. when holding the distributor/coil plug to ground and cranking the engine, no spark jumps.

checked the ecu diagnostic crap, shows me "21" for the ignition signal circuit.

my car's not starting, and im dying to drive it with the fresh swap. someone, please please please tell me what i should be checking for.

The power transistor is part of the ignition system; it provides that kick in voltage to the coil.

Here's a procedure to test it:

alright, so i just checked both, and neither of them check out correctly, going by that little diagram anyways.

what causes these to go bad? i mean shoot, i just bought one of them for 100 some bucks not too long ago, and the other one i was using for my single cam with no problems...
