CAUTION: I know nothing. Refer to factory service manuals and other experts before doing this. This "tutorial" is just my experience . Research safety issues as I know nothing about safety.
Introduction:
Corrosion causes the battery terminals to increase in diameter(or they stretch or break) and it makes it impossible to tighten them to post.
Parts and tools:
Hacksaw
Universal top post terminal
washers
knife
Universal top post terminal for about 5 bucks.

Disconnect terminal. I only did positive. Positve has two parts: big wire for alternator and smaller wires for ignition etc

Hacksaw off the old terminal. Remove about an inch of insulation.

Completed job. I had to fold the alternator wire to double its width so it would fit tightly into clamp. Just tightened the two bolts to secure it. No crimping. I used one of the bolts to fasten the smaller ignition wire. A couple of small washers would have helped here.

Picture shows old positive terminal. It was cracked on bottom.
