So yeah got my TT here and I was thinking...

I got a SAFCII and 555cc injectors and the car has been tuned for it by Ultimate Z. The car is on stock boost jets and there is a Profec B controller and I just need to hook up my actuator to turn up the boost now.

With the Greddy Catback, Greddy BOVs, JWT pop charger, SAFCII, and the 555cc at peak 20psi (this is what I was given as the max for stock turbos)

and since I "misplaced" my dyno lately... what HP are we talking about?

anyone have a similar setup?

I wouldn't run them at 20psi if you plan on keeping them. even 2 psi lower can put alot less stress on your turbo's. Wait until you get some aftermarket turbo's before cranking it up past 20

the point is what is the max HP, I know the technical side

I would never drive around on 20psi constantly...but thanks for the concern

The most off of stock turbo's, irregardless of mods (with the exception of nos) is 500 hp (crank) so i'd guess you'd push around 400 to the wheels with lots of torque and maybe 440 on race gas.

just do it and get it dyno'd post up some dyno sheets for us to gawk at in admiration.

ok, forst of all there is no such thin as "stock boost jets" in stock for it's an unrestricted hose leading from the hot pipe to the wastegate actuator which opens the wastegate at 9 psi or there abouts, boost jets are a restrictive orifice placed inside taht piece of tubing to restrict airflow allowing for more boost to be built before it can pass through the orifice and cause the actuators to open the wastegates (this is why they are inacurate and prone to boost creep), the profec is an electronic boost controller, it places a fast acting electronic valve inline and senses the actual pressure and at whatever specified pressure opens the valves and allows the higher than normal pressure flow to the stock actuators and opening the wastegates, your SAFC should have been tuned to whatever max psi you intend to ever run with the profec b, now that that lesson has been passed

the stock turbo's reach peak efficiency at about 16 psi, beyond that they are simply spinning free of moving air, think of it as spinning too fast for the pockets of air to escape the blades of the impeller, this is where various impeller designs come into play, these things spin well in excess of 100,000 rpm's at max efficiency

now onto your hp, max for stock turbo's is about 400 whp, not all dyno's are created equally, the important thing when using dyno's as bench marks is to use the same one every time or at least the same type, I am partial to mustang dyno's they tend to read lower but are supposed to be more acurate in their corrections, the only advantave to race gas is taht you can run more advance on timing which I doubt you intend to do, I'm gonna guess 360 whp, with dp's and test pipes you can get closer to 400 whp

now that the guessing games are over are you gonna go get on the rollers and post up a dyno sheet or are you just trying to come up with a number to spout off to people?

The Z is currently being updated, there are some areas to address. There is no cheap dyno service in town, almost all I know are owned by pros and don't rent or don't rent cheaply...

I was looking for a base number to expect... so calm down evil lol

lol, I'm sure there are shops in your area that deal with the public, after all most racers cant afford huge shops and dyno's, you just gotta find out where the local racers go

It annoys me when people start spouting that they have x amount of hp and their only basis for claim is totalling up the number printed on the parts box's, or what some other person guessed, our local z club does bi-anual dyno days, it's $50 per car but we get the wideband, boost mapping and loaded runs all thrown in for free
